Traverse V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

My 2012 Chevy Traverse will not move some times, not even in neutral. Engine revs but vehicle doesn't move. No warning lights on dash. Has been in the dealer service department at least 3 times, but they can't get an error code for the problem. Service tech has driven it several times but couldn't get it to reproduce the problem. Have contacted GM customer "no" service multiple times. The dealership has been wonderful with trying to figure out the problem, but it is beyond them.

Traverse V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

I have a 2012 Traverse and three times now when I came to a stop it would not move. I can put it in neutral and cannot even push it. I have to turn it off and back on, shift it from drive to park and in between. Then finally I have to gun it to get it to even move a little. When I finally get it moving it is like all wheels are locked up and dragging an anchor.

First time had traction control light pop up and dealer said it was a bad circuit board. It was ok for couple months then did it again but no warning lights etc. It has happened two times since and I took it to dealership and they could not find anything wrong. It had no codes come up on diagnostic machine. It had set for several days before they got to it. Got it back, it happened again and I took it back. They say they have to be able to duplicate problem. One of the service department personnel drove it when I brought it in the second time and could feel the drag/problem but because they are not a technician apparently it does not count.
