Traverse LT 1 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

AC went out summer 2020. Took to local mechanic who added dye and freon but could not find leak. Stopped working again a few weeks later - could not find leak. Refilled with freon then cooler temps arrived and the ac not needed. May 2021 warm temps and the ac not working well so I took to Chevy dealer. June 25, 2021 claims rear evaporator leaking. Replaced, evacuated system and refilled cost $1254.00. July 15 2021 AC stops working again. Car was in another state. Took to local dealer claims AC compressor failed. Cost $1047.00. They evacuated the system and refilled.

Very disappointed that the AC went out within the first 13,000 miles of use and now it is out again after getting it fixed.I am currently at 27K miles. This is a new car. I've owned several cars before and it was well within the 10th year or after that that I had any issues with the AC. Those cars were all imports.

I want to continue to buy American but this experience is very testing.
