problem #1

Nov 052016

Traverse LT 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,000 miles

It's very dangerous because the vehicle either loses all power and/or stalls while driving. Then the traction control light will come on. When I get the vehicle rolling again, I have to pull off the road and turn off the traction control, shutdown and restart. Then the check engine light comes on and will stay on for up to 3 days, while the vehicle operates at slower acceleration levels and burns much more gas. You don't know this in advance because it only manifests itself when trying to take off and get into oncoming or cross traffic, which makes it extremely dangerous, especially since I have my kids with me most of the time.

I have been to dealer 4 times to report the problem, to no avail as they have yet to fix the problem. They try different things, but nothing seems to work. I'm very frustrated and running out of patience.
