GM said that they would pay 50%, but we were still stuck paying the other $4,000.

The electrical in the car is bad. I know others with Chevrolets and are having the same issue. The power windows nor doors work on my passenger side with the key or door controls. Also their is a squeaking noise when braking in my brake pedal. With new pads and rotors the car don-€™t stop smoothly, feel vibration in the steering wheel. The car is already having an error for the EVAP canister purge control valve. The car isn-€™t tht old to be needing to replace this already.

7/5/22 it has now been over a month since we started to have our car serviced at Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie. On 7/3/22 while driving up a hill in our neighborhood the engine shut off, the brakes gave out, and the power steering stopped working. Had we been anywhere else my children, husband, and I could be dead from being in a serious car accident. This problem was confirmed by the dealer and reported to be caused by a "defective part" being installed. When I inquired about why there wasn't a recall for this part I was informed that it is a rare defect but they the service department receives a vehicle with identical problems every 3-4 months. We received no warning lamps, messages, or other signs that this was going to happen. During the week of Memorial Day we noticed the fuel gauge misreading and the air conditioning blowing warm. This problem was repeatedly reported. The air conditioning was repaired. The fuel gauge continues to misread.

When putting gas in my 2017 Traverse, when I go to crank it, it's takes a while to start and then when it does start, it idles really high. Sometimes if I'm at a complete stop, the engine just cuts off. Tonight when I was driving to the store with my family, the engine cuts off while driving in the middle of the road. This is really scary because I live in atlanta, ga and often take the highway and I'm afraid the engine will shut off in the middle of driving. This is very dangerous. I've called Chevy and I am waiting on a call back because I had to leave a voicemail. I looked for a recall and could not find any. This is very odd considering all of the people who are having the same issue.

I have a 2017 Traverse, bought it with just a few thousand miles on it back in 2017. I started having problems the day after I bought it. The car would die almost every day. Finally got that issue fixed. A few months later the washer fluid stopped working. I took it in to have it looked at and they said it had a hole in it. I had it replaced. A few months later my engine starts making a really loud noise when accelerating and my steering wheel would get so tight when I turned it, that I couldn't turn. I took it to be looked at and was told it had a hole in the steering pump and a pin needed to be replaced as well as the pump. I had that replaced. A few weeks later I'm getting gas and try to start my car and it stalls. I try to start it again and it starts, but it acts like it wants to die. The fuel gauge needle stays on E, even though I just filled my tank up. This same issue has happened 3 times now after getting gas. My steering has starting making a squeaking noise when I turn it. My engine is so loud when I'm driving, it's definitely not a normal sound. When my car sits in park with the engine in you can hear the engine whistling and revving up on its own, and then it acts as though it wants to die.

The transmission started slipping about 18,000 miles it now has thirty-one thousand miles on it and it's still an issue. It gets so bad to where throws you forward when it slips. It slips between 2nd and 3rd gear. I've had it into the Chevy dealer many times they say that's normal. However a transmission slipping is not normal. They refuse to fix it. I have video of the transmission slipping.

The contact owned a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. While driving 25 mph in the snow, the contact noticed smoke coming from the vents inside the vehicle. The contact pulled the vehicle onto the road shoulder, opened the driver's door, and found smoke rising from under the dashboard. The contact moved away from the vehicle and, moments later, it caught fire. The fire department was present and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. On February 19, 2019, the vehicle was taken to rhinelander GM auto center (1935 North steven street, rhinelander, wi 54501, (715) 365-8100) for inspection because the contact noticed a smoke odor. The dealer smelled smoke from the engine compartment under the hood, but could not determine the cause of the odor. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-5089683949. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.

My engine, while the car was stationary, made a loud cranking noise. It sounded like large metal pieces grinding together. The entire car would then rumble and the engine light would come on. After sitting for a while it would stop. The rumbling would happen almost every time my vehicle is at a standstill. It would also do a jerking motion while driving on the road. The GM repair mechanics said it was a small valve. They replaced it but the same thing continued to happen. My car was brand new when I purchased it in 2017.

This has happened 3 times while driving down the interstate at 70mph. While driving all of a sudden my dash starts flashing traction control off & then flashes service stabilitytrac & my engine loses power and starts jerking kind of like your are running out of gas. This lasts until you stop and turn off the car for about 5 min then restart it. But it keeps happening when I get back on the interstate.

While driving my 2017 Chevrolet Traverse at interstate speeds, the vehicle, without warning, shut down. When I say shut down, I mean shut off completely. This was a complete loss of all power to the car. The engine shut off, the lights (internal and external) shut off, there was no power steering, the brakes where difficult to push down, etc. As I am now coasting down the interstate with no power to the car I put it in neutral and turned on my flashers. With no power steering and brakes that are stiff, I somehow was able to slowly force the car to the side of the interstate and get it to stop. I tried to restart the vehicle and it would not start. I put it in park and sat there for a few minutes before trying again. Once I tried, the vehicle started and I was able to drive home without further incident. The morning after this incident, I started up my Traverse and noticed that the fuel gauge is showing empty, but the car had a half of a tank when I got home last night. There is something serious going on with this Traverse and Chevrolet vehicles in general. This is the 2nd different vehicle that I have owned that has shut down while driving down the road. The 1st car was a 2016 Chevrolet Impala.
