problem #1

Jun 052018

Traverse High Country V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,853 miles

Our Chevy Traverse had it's 4th incident of stalling after placing the car in P for a while like on a long stop then changing gears to D (drive) shortly after.

Earlier this day I had experienced the engine not engaging into D after placing it in P on a long stop. Fortunately, my husband and I took it on a drive to see if he could replicate what I experienced and "Yeah!" he did. It wasn't a celebratory thing as it indicates there is a problem with the car but I was able to get another person to verify that a malfunction had occurred and that there is a problem with the transmission not engaging into D after placing in P for a long stop.

Like before, no engine light lit up so we are concerned the dealership will not see this problem history in our SUV's computer history. They will have to test drive and see if they can replicate the problem or thoughtfully test the transmission.
