Traverse RS 2.0L 14 Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,263 miles

On December 22, 2023, was my second appointment visit to the GMC used car dealership. I spoke to the salesman, and he initiated to take my vehicle for a test drive and after pulling out of the dealership parking lot and onto the roadway and driving over bumps at first he said that he didn't hear anything and about the next minute he said he heard something but wasn't sure if it was coming from the rear driver side, so he continued to drive back to the dealership and he begin to hear the sound more frequently and he told me that he's going to put it in the shop and give me another loaner vehicle.

Well, just to be frank, this cancelled my travel plans for the Christmas holiday. On December 27, 2023, I received a call from the salesman saying that I can come pick up my vehicle. Upon my arrival to the used car GMC dealership the salesman told me that the mechanics took the tires off and conducted a thorough inspection and he even indicated to me that he stayed inside of the shop while the mechanics conducted this inspection. I asked for a copy of the inspection form that the mechanics used to write on and the salesman told me that his supervisor would have to give me a copy of the mechanics inspection form, because he (salesman) could not give it to me and that his supervisor was off from work on that day and wouldn't be back until after the new year, 2024 and that he would let him know about my vehicle.

On January 10, 2023, I went over to the GMC used car dealership and told the salesman that the temp tag expired and if my license plate came in, he told me yes and I asked about the inspection form, and he (salesman) told me that his boss was in a meeting. I asked about what they were going to do about my vehicle, and he told me he could see about trading me out into another vehicle with less amenities and cloth seats at the same price. I stated that I just want my vehicle fixed, and he (salesman) said he would talk to his boss and call me. I departed the dealership and now waiting for my call. Nothing done as of yet.

I went to GMC used car dealership on October 30, 2023, and purchased a white 2019 Chevrolet Traverse RS vehicle. I test drove the vehicle with the salesman in the vehicle with me and the vehicle drove good. We went back to the dealership and finalized the purchase. I drove the vehicle home and still didn't hear anything at that time I parked the vehicle and didn't drive it again until November 04, 2023, and this time my niece rode with me to the grocery store. On our way back home, she asked me if I heard a strange sound coming from the left rear tire area whenever I ran over a bump in the roadway, and I said no I didn't hear anything and I proceeded to drive to the house and I parked the vehicle.

Upon November 05, 2023, and I was driving to church that Sunday morning and ran over a few bumps in the roadway and began hearing the sound that my niece heard the day before. The sound was like a sharp clank sound coming from underneath the rear driver side. This sound sounded as if something was coming loose from underneath the vehicle. On November 06, 2023, I contacted the salesman who sold me the vehicle and told him what was going on and he told me to bring the vehicle in on November 08, 2023, due to a shortage with mechanics. I showed up on November 08, 2023, and me, the salesman and his supervisor road in the vehicle with the supervisor driving, but they both said they didn't hear anything. I took the vehicle home after making an appointment to go back on November 20, 2023. I went back on 11/20/2023 and was given a loaner vehicle where my vehicle stayed there 11/28/2023. On December 05, 2023, I was told by the salesman that the mechanics didn't find anything wrong. I retrieved my vehicle drove home and, on my way I still heard that sound, so I called the salesman and he told me that he would get back with me after he speak with his boss.
