The vehicle is equipped with auto stop technology that the driver can-??t disable. While driving, the system is designed to initiate auto stop when vehicle comes to a stop. When my foot lifts off the brake to proceed, the engine kicks back in and vehicle moves forward. Two weeks ago at a stop, the engine did not kick back in. I had to put the car in park at the light and after several attempts to push the ignition button, the engine finally kicked back on. The vehicle had the same issue later that day so I scheduled with the dealer for 4 days out. No warning lights came on. My onstar app did not produce any error notice. Meanwhile, I saw a video to override auto stop, put vehicle in low gear 6. That-??s what I did to get through to appointment. By day 3 (dealer is day 4), I returned to vehicle after an hour meeting and it didn-??t start at all. The check engine light turned on, NOT the battery light. Had vehicle towed to dealer who said the only alert was a bad battery. (Battery is 16 mo with 36 mo warranty & alternator 5 mo old). I replaced the battery. Picked up vehicle from dealer and 5 miles away at a stop, vehicle shut off. I put vehicle in park, pushed ignition button and engine turned back on. I thought it was a fluke. 6 days later the vehicle turned off at stops on four separate occasions. Each time the battery was fully charged. On one last instance at an intersection stop, the vehicle shut off, would not restart when I pushed the ignition button, brake pedal became stiff, and dash lights and radio were completely off, as if the battery died. I let the vehicle sit at the intersection for 30 seconds before trying the ignition button, and it finally fired up. To get home, I put it in neutral at each stop to keep it from going into auto stop. This issue is not generating an -??error-?? on the computer so dealer techs have no idea what to do. When I bypass auto stop by shifting to neutral at stops or driving in L6, there is no issue whatsoever with the vehicle.

Recall for Emissions Evap leak repaired less than a year ago after engine light illuminated. Had to be taken in two separate times to be fixed. Engine light illuminated again a week ago 10/1/23, when scanned by mechanic it is showing the same emissions Evap leak. The vehicle is sputtering when trying to start and doesn-??t feel safe when driving. Dealership said they-??re unable to even look and diagnose for another week after knowing it-??s the same recall.

3 major issues-€"1. The driver side seatbelt does not latch any more. This started happening 11/1/2022. 2. The "Shift to Park" message continues to appear while the car is in park. The vehicle at times will not shut off due to the message even thought it's actually in park. This has been happening for over a year without a fix and now we're over our 3 year warranty. 3. The car has 45 miles on it before it needed to refuel, however, it stalled and completed shut off in the middle of traffic causing a jam behind us! We had one of our toddlers in the car too which could have ended much worse. The car was towed to Chevy ($160 bill for us), and Chevy said it stalled and turned off because the fuel was empty even though it the dashboard said 45 miles on it.

On our 2019 Chevy Traverse, the check engine light came on and off several times over the last couple of weeks. After filling up with gas, it would often take 4 to 5 times to get the engine to start as it would keep stalling out after starting. Additionally, on two separate occasions the car stalled out unexpectedly - once while turning onto a road out of a parking lot that almost caused us to get hit, and a second time while in a round-a-bout. The car was checked by a Chevy dealer and it was found that there was a bad purge valve creating this issue. This had previously been recalled on earlier model year Traverses, but not for 2019. It appears this is still an issue for this model year and should be addressed.

2019 Chevrolet Traverse having "shift to park" error when shifted into park and it will not turn off. I am not able to shut down my vehicle occurs, which is at random but with more frequency lately. I often have to turn car on, put into reverse and repeat the process, or jiggle the gear shifter to get it to turn off. I have read this is a common issue and GM is being sued in a class action lawsuit because of it. My dealership isn't acknowledging it and wants me to pay to have it completely replaced. I have also read it gets worse in most cases and in some cases causes the vehicle to shift into gear accidentally or drains the battery completely because it thinks the car is in drive and stays on. Possibly related, the vehicle is starting to "buck" when in slow acceleration/shifting automatic gears.

On June 12, 2022, after stopping for gas, my car did not want to start back up. I put my foot on the brake and pushed the start/stop button, but the engine struggled to come on. It did a similar thing a week before, but on that time when I pushed the button to start the car, all of my lights came on and my radio, but my air conditioner delayed in coming on. When I put the car in drive to go, nothing happened and I realized the engine never started. I pushed the start/stop button again and everything shut off and then back on and I was able to drive. For almost a year now, I have had issues with the auto stop feature when I'm at a stop light/sign. When I try to take off again, it delays on letting me move. This is also when my car will jerk or jolt as I start to drive. I took it to the dealership to look at the problem and was told there may be something with the fuel system. All they did was flush the system, but the problem didn't stop. I am seeing reports online of similar things happening to other 2019 Traverse owners. This concerns me because what happens when my car decides not to start again and I'm in a busy area" What happens when my family is with me and it doesn't want to go or it shuts off at a stop sign or light and we're in crash" I am making an appointment with another dealership, but with how many other drivers seem to be having problems, this seems to be a manufacturer issue and needs to be taken care of by them.

  • 30,738 miles
My vehicle is at 30,738 miles and recently I began smelling what I thought to be exhaust fumes inside the cabin of the vehicle. I also smelled it after the car was parked outside the vehicle, near the the hood of the car near the engine. I took it to the nearest repair shop and they said that the brazing/welding point on the fuel rail was faulty and the fuel injector had broken off and was spraying fuel all underneath the car. It was "two or three turns away from a catastrophic event". the car was had fuel sprayed all near the intake manifold and was getting dangerously close to the exhaust manifold. It was only a matter of time (minutes/hours) before the vehicle caught fire or exploded with the amount of loose fuel present and I have small children in car seats I would never have been able to get out of the car in time. I had the vehicle towed to a Chevy dealership and they replaced the fuel rail and several other parts. And returned the vehicle to me. There were still fuel vapors coming into the cabin of the vehicle and near the hood of the engine. I took it back and the dealership said all of the insulation around/ in the engine was saturated in fuel still. So they washed the insulation and put it back in the vehicle. It still smells like fuel vapors in and around the vehicle.
