This issue is extremely annoying and could cause a potential risk of an accident for those like me that like to drive with our left hand on the wheel and our left elbow resting on the window control section of the driver's door.

The issue here is a very weak spot in the cheaply made material that causes a dip and then a very loud popping noise when lifting the elbow. If this weak spot continues to get worse, especially while driving, the elbow could slip in the weak spot causing an unexpected jerk of the steering wheel.

I was informed by a dealership service department that there is no known fix to this issue. The service department didn't really seem to care about this issue and concern.
