Trax LTZ Ecotec Turbo 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission

June 2020, I was driving my 2015 Chevy Trax through a fast-food drive-in and it started to idle weird, like it wanted to die. I got through the drive through and the check engine light was on. It had no problems while driving without having to stop and lights or stop-signs. I took it to Seth Wadley Cheverolet in Ada OK and was told it was the Camshaft cover. But this was just the first time this happened.

It happened again same issue with wanting to die at stop lights and stop signs, idle was hard like it wanted to die on Jan 4, 2021 and this time Seth Wadley said it was the 02 sensor was stuck. Then on 20 Feb, 2021 it did it again, same thing, same issue with wanting to die at the stop lights/signs, drives well when on the open road but when I stop at a light or a stop sign, it wants to die, this time Seth Wadley said it was the Purge Solenoid. I'm going to take it to another shop to have them check it as I'm not sure if the car has a mfg issue or the dealer service shop at SW is nickel and diming me on repairs because the car is no longer under warranty at 83,000 miles.
