This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
I brought my Chevy Trax 2019 and the AC was working, after 3 months it stop working. I took it to the dealer they told me that I didn't have warranty. I was so upset I been without AC for 2 years. If the Trax have a defect why there is no recall for this type of situation.

With only 39 K miles, the A/C compressor blew up.
In Florida is a real problem to drive without A/C.
Bad quality components.

I have the same issue with the A/C not working well whatsoever, on hot days. If the sun's not bearing down, then the A/C will typically work fairly decent. Then again, I live in FL. About 90 days a year are disgustingly warm, and when you go somewhere 20-30 mins away, in your well-maintained vehicle, you don't expect to arrive sweating, since the A/C has been on speed 2-3 the entire time.
I've discovered there's a Service Bulletin issued that informs mechanics to not fill the A/C coolant all the way, as it creates this diminished A/C result. What shows Chevy really cares, is when you take it to the dealer to have them correct the manufacturer issue, and let some A/C coolant out of the system, they don't see why I disagree with being billed for the "fix". I'd do it myself, and if I did and messed something up, I would be ok with being billed.
So c'mon Chevy.....do the right thing, and eat the cost to correct an issue to some defect in the Trax A/C system. It's absurd to expect me to pay for diagnostic, and replacement of some possible problem parts, when all I'm asking for is to let some freaking freon (or whatever it's called now) out. If that doesn't fix the issue, then we'll start exploring. Due to the lack of care and interest Chevy has displayed, as of right now I'll NEVER buy a Chevy again. Doing things right, and thinking about the customer could create strong loyalty.....The decisions made regarding the whole situation will determine what vehicles I purchase in the future, and will demonstrate the truth regarding your value of customers.
Disappointed and very frustrated.

Took my Trax in for service. Had them check out the air vents. They told me that the mode cable stretched out. Had 36,700 miles on the car. I was over my warranty of 36,000 miles and was not covered. I sent some emails to GM. They told me that they don't know why this happened. That I should take it in to the dealers service and had them check it out all at my expense. Now my cigarette lighter does not work. I bought a new car to avoid all these problems. The funny or annoying thing is how GM does not even back up their product.

The a/c heater keeps shorting out. I have had to replace the resistor 3 times and the pigtail (wire harness) .I am wanting to know if there is a more permanent solution to fix the problem?

HELP. This a/c heating system is driving me crazy! Tired of replacing the same thing over and over and over. Not to mention it's getting expensive

3 times a/c heater pigtail and resistor shorting out what is the permanent fix

A/C will not work if car sits in the sun
I hate when I buy a new car, then spring comes and the AC does not work. Then when you go to the dealer, you have to prove the issue twice. Then the dealership confirms that your AC does not work in the sun. Then GM see the issue for you and then you start a chain of issues with other owners.

Not one of the problems I expected with a car with less than 50,000 miles. As a matter of fact it was the first time in all my cars that was an issue.
Update from Sep 2, 2023 it was not covered, it cost over $700
