This problem, they say might not ever get fixed. Yesterday the turbo went again on Highway #6 in Manitoba. It was -25 and probably -35 with the windchill. I was over 1 hour from Winnipeg and alone. I called roadside assistance to tell them that my car was having issues. I was not pulling over on the road in the winter to wait for a tow truck so I drove it. There was no give to the car, I drove at 90kms and if I wanted to go faster I had to keep my foot pressed to the floor. I burned so much gas getting back to Winnipeg.
This happened first in December 2017. We had it towed to the nearest town and the dealership Dean Cooley in Dauphin, Manitoba would not give us a loaner car. We had to get a hotel and spend the night in town.
Second time it went was New Year's Day. We had cell service thankfully and went to our lake house and called roadside. Again We went to Dean Cooley in Dauphin, Manitoba. Again, they treated us like crap and would not give us a loaner car. We had friends borrow us a car so we could get back to the lake. I had to take 2 days off work because of GM can't this fixed.
I drive on the highway every weekend and sometimes alone. GM is trying to kill me on the road and don't seem to care about it.
