Trax LS Turbo

The brakes on this car go from hard to what I call "mushy" all of the time. On this date, I had the same problem. I drive very slowly just in case something happens - had 2 previous episodes. In this case I was driving during rush hour traffic on a busy street. The light had just changed. Once the traffic began to proceed, so did I. Once I passed the intersection, I pressed down on the brakes because the traffic began to slow. I pressed and my foot went all the way to the floor and I began to panic. I calmed down and pushed the car out of gear - into neutral - and this is the only reason why this car stopped. It was a very terrifying experience, especially since I had passengers. Luckily enough, the car in front of me was a distance ahead and the car behind me was a distance behind me. It all happens very quickly - I do not have time to videotape or record in any other fashion. At the time I am busy trying to get this car to stop. Once I put the car back into drive, I was able to proceed. I just continued on, very slowly until I arrived home.

I contacted the dealer - Phillips Chevrolet of Lansing, IL - and was given a date of 12-27-18 for service. I took the car at 891 miles and took it back home on 891 miles - despite the service ticket saying that the car went out at 896 miles. I was told that the car was checked and the diagnostic tests could not find a problem. I was told that the car was test driver - not true - again, I had 891 miles when I arrived, and 891 miles when I left.

The part that bothers me the most, outside of the terrifying experiences that I have had driving this car, is that they always say that they can't find anything wrong.
