Well the vehicle over all is nice and spacious; however, there are many reports of transmission problems passed 55,000 miles and when I hit 78,000 miles the other day (1-6-11) i started having transmission problems. It started off with a hard jerk everytime I would take off but then it was fine. A few days later, anytime I tried to take off, the engine would rev up but would barely move until it caught up and creeped off. It is still doing the same thing and we were told that it is the TORQUE CONVERTER inside the transmission. Overall damage, you just better get ready to replace your transmission.

I hope it's not a major problem, because I do love my Uplander. It is just a pain in the ass trying to get it to go into gear.

I can't shift my vehicle from Park to Drive. The lever on the column will not move. I try everything. I use two hands, tap on the brake, scream and yell and it is bad. Doesn't matter how I park, level, on hill, in driveway, it does it all the time. Brake fluid is good. Does anyone know how to fix this. The transmission is not slipping, just can't move the shifter handle at all.
