About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
Fuel gauge is never correct. The 'mileage till empty' display is all over the place along with the needle. Gauge will show 1/2 tank when starting out, 20 miles later is shows 1/4 tank. Can be driving and just before stopping and turning off the engine will show 1/4 tank of gas. Start the engine back up after maybe 5 minutes and needle shows less than 1/8 of tank. Have run out of gas multiple time because of this. Even been stranded at 7am with 2 year old in 20 F degree weather.

The vehicle will hesitate to take off after engaging a forward gear. Sometimes it will take off normally, sometimes it will shudder and buck before, or while attempting to go, and sometimes it will just sit there and do nothing but increase the engine rpms, when the rpms are back to normal it might take off or it might not. The transmission has been serviced, fluid change, not sure if the dealership changed the filter.
