Tamara recall we were in an accident, we hit a 190ib deer at 70mph and the air bags did not deploy. Was driving on interstate 49 South.

The contact owned a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. While driving 60 mph, the contact lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ravine. The contact stated that the driver side air bag did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the left eye, a blow out fracture around the eye, cranial fracture, and bruising that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.

Customer got into driver's seat to clean the dash and before touching anything, the airbag deployed. Vehicle was not moving and keys were not in ignition. Customer taken to emergency department for evaluation; minor injury.

The contact's foot was not depressing the accelerator pedal at the time of the failure. As a result, the contact crashed into a pole. The air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The failure occurred on two separate occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. 2008 Chevrolet Uplander. Consumer writes in regards to airbag problems. The consumer stated he was involved in two accidents within three years, and each time, the air bag did not deploy. The first accident, left the consumer with a shoulder injury, that required surgery.

The ABS light is on in my van, I have been told that the airbag could deploy at any time or that in the event of a crash that it won't deploy at all. I purchased this vehicle used but this problem started in 2009. The light will go off occasionally, but only for a few miles. This should be fixed by Chevrolet, however the dealer has stated that it is and was not covered under warrenty.

The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The total repair cost for the body damages was $6,268. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The contact stated there were electrical problems with the vehicle. The cause of failure had not been determined at this time. The failure mileage was 60,000.
