This started as some coolant evaporating and the dex/cool that was originally in the manufacture's recommendation damage the radiator cap. Had that replace and then started to still lose coolant without seeing any visible evidence. Went from replacing coolant every 3 weeks to checking everytime I drove. All of a sudden it started to drop rapidly and then visible signs of evidence occurred. After looking online, I have discovered 1000's of complaints in regards to this exact same problem. GM refuses to issue a recall and a manufacturing defect. They will never receive my business in the future if this isn't rectified. Other than this, I love my van!

Well, Chevrolet did it again they built a S**t car and sold it to the people. There is anti-freeze inside mix with oil. And of course how much was the goverment agency paid not to call for a recall. I guess the best thing to do is to buy a Toyota, Nissan or Honda. Thank You Chevrolet for the worst car I ever owned a Venture with an Engine Defect from the factory.

Dex-coolant caused the plastic rings in the engine erode, putting oil in the radiator. Drain and flush radiator using regular coolant and replaced all plugs, wires, manifold gaskets and such.

For the last few weeks, my coolant has been mysteriously disappearing. I figured it was a clogged up system because the place you pour the coolant in looked dirty.I paid 100 to get the system flushed but the problem seemed to actually worsen. I took it back to my guys and told them I thought I might have a leak. They took my van back and came saying it was the intake manifold gasket. This thing is going to take 6 1/2 hours to fix, and will run me nearly $800! I am so angry, esp after reading others complaints. I will let you know if the $800 rectifies the situation.
