Venture

  • Automatic transmission
  • 18,000 miles

The rear door window wiper motor burned out. With the extended warranty I had to pay $100.00. I told them that I had a Mazda van with over 100,000 miles on it and I had had no problems with it. They just smiled and sent me on my way.

Venture EXT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,548 miles

The van was used and the previous owner had problems with the wipers brakes and ABS according to its history. The wiper are in a shallow dip at the bottom of the windshield..which is cute for California to hise the wipers when not in use, but a pain the the BUTT here in snowy winters.

It is like an ice and snow receptacle.. so to get the blades to work you need to keep it clear of snow and ice or make the motor overwork. The transmission on it was replaced after 10k. It is a constant battle to keep snow out of there, as it is a hand sized area and perfectly designed to capture snow. If ice builds in there, the wiper motor will have to be replaced..ask how I know.
