2004 Chevrolet Venture mini van. The consumer's vehicle was involved in an accident on October 3, 2005. Upon impact, side airbags did not deploy. While pulling out the consumer's vehicle was T-boned in the side by the other vehicle. Heard a tire squealing, and held on to the steering wheel when vehicle was hit. The consumer's back and neck were sore, but no one was taken to the hospital. According to the inspector, the van was totaled, and he said that side airbags should have deployed. The police department, fire department, and an ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident. A police report was taken. This was the consumer's first accident, and vehicle was still under warranty with all original parts. The consumer wore seat belts. Also, the road was dry. There was no other property damage other than the two vehicles.
