My brand new Chevy Volt 2017, in less than 2 months, had a tire burst. The tire just burst right in the middle of driving on De Anza Blvd in CA. When I called GM Roadside Assist, they first told me that they will provide a free tow to their dealership, but did not want to comment on tire warranty. I knew that this will be useless if they do not cover the cost as the dealership will charge me 2X for the repair. I separately called the dealership contact who told me that tires are not covered for even 1 day and that it must be the driver's mistake.
There were no major potholes or bumps visible but even if there is one, are new tires so fragile that they will burst in 2 months! I feel GM has to take responsibility and cough up my money or else you all are fairly warned against buying VOLT.
