Going down the highway the electrical system shut down. This made steering, and braking almost impossible. All the gauges, lights, and wipers also went off. After coasting to the side of the highway and turning the key to the off position, was able to restart the auto. The auto shows no vehicle codes when connected to a scanner.

In 3 weeks time the car stalled midway in the highway while driving as if it were going to turn off. I took it in for repairs and it was the shock plugs. Then the brakes were not working. I took the car to replace all four brakes. A day later the battery light came on. After driving my son to school the car pulled back and shook and shut down. I took it back in for repairs and it was the alternator. Today the windshield wipers froze midway. This is the most unsafe car and all should be recalled in general.

On July 4 the ABS light came on for no reason several times, staying on for long periods of time. There was a clicking noise in the steering colum and wheel. It sounded like it was coming from the left side. On July 5, I was driving to work on a back road with several curves. The ABS light came on again. Clicking was still happening as well. All of a sudden I felt like I was sliding on a sheet of ice. I swirved from side to side and could not get my car under control. Then my vehicle was on two wheels on the passenger side. Which then slide off the road and down a embankment turning several times and landing on the roof of the car. The air bags never deployed. I am now suffering with a broken collar bone due to the accident.

When shifting into reverse or drive it has a hard jolt when going into gear. Sometimes it is so hard that it jerks your body and head/neck, and it sounds like the transmission is going to unbolt from under the car. It does it a couple times a day, and then may stop for a few days but always comes back. I have noticed on the days it is not doing it I average more mpg, and when it is doing it the mpg continuously decreases when it is occuring multiple days in a row. On the days that it is doing it my transmission sounds more whiny than than usual. I have also had issues when putting it into gear, and pushing the gas pedal it tries to stall. It is a problem, and not "just the way those motors are". if it was "just the way the motor" is then it would do it every time you put it in gear, and not come and go and be much worse on some days than others. As time passes the jolting is getting worse and harder. Also, my brakes make an awful squeeking/grinding noise when stopping slowly (stop sign) or backing up. When the car was checked I was told they could not find anything wrong with the car or brakes. This is very agrivating because it was bought brand new, and I am having these issues. I am making payments on a vehicle that is having these types of issues, and I do not feel safe in it. The way the transmissions acts I am afraid of what it may do while driving down the road.

My first problem is an worsening squeaking and grinding in my brakes. I purchased the car in Oct 2011 and started having squeaking brakes in March 2012. I have returned my car to the buying dealership three times prior to my 12,000 brake warranty. I was told by a certified Chrysler mechanic nothing is wrong with my brakes and they did not hear anything. My brake issue has gotten worse I hear it constantly with any stopping motion. I then took my car to a non certified Chrysler mechanic and I was shown my rear brakes are warped. And the brakes are defective. This mechanic did not want to fix the issue he stated return to your dealership because even if we replace the pads the defective parts will cause the problem again. I called the buying dealership that same day and told the person in service center what I was told he guaranteed his technician did their job and refused to look in the system to provide me with exactly what she did since the issue was not fixed. Needless to say that individual is unprofessional and totally disregard my concern. I called Chrysler headquaters filed a complaint that same day. A few days later I took it to another Chrysler dealership the technician agreed my rotors in the rear where warped and "reglossed them" this did not fix the issue. I returned a few days later telling him the noise never went away. I was told I would have to pay for the new brake pads or to be reglossed. He advised me my pads are placed in a certain position that causes them to make that noise but could not give me a straight answer if this was abnormal or normal. But pretty much deal with it. I have all the paperwork from each dealership and mechanic regardless if the warranty is expired if the brakes are defective they will never work properly. My second concern is my car has stalled three times in the month of June 2012 while driving going less than 20 miles.
