Well first I replaced the battery, had the vent actuator on passenger side fixed, battery kept dying, went online to find out that timp needs to be replaced. the cost is $1100.00,not to mention the labor. It seem this is a common problem with chrysler 200's from 2010 to 2014, Chrysler has known about this and never put on recall. I am very pissed about this. I did get notifications on the seat belt, but none of the dealers in my area can get the part. I can not keep paying high out of pocket on repairs that Chrysler should have put on recalls. They knew about the fuse box and have done nothing. The car can just stop! This very dangerous!!!!!!!. Need some finance help.

This car is honestly the worst car I have ever owned. I am having the same exact problem that you are having right now. I tried to start my car one day and it wouldn't turn over. I figured it was nothing serious maybe just the battery so I purchased a new one. Next day battery dies again, I did the alternator test and had the battery replaced AGAIN. On the 3rd day the same ordeal I am completely done with this car. Something is draining the battery and Chrysler has no idea on what it is. I thoroughly ran through every crevice of my car to make sure i hadn't left anything accidentally plugged in or any lights on for the same problem to continue. Now the dealer is telling me they have to do extensive check and look for any breaks in the wiring This car is only 2 years old and breaks already, SMH. When I had my Honda I never encountered these senseless issues. I will never buy another Chrysler EVER AGAIN.

I purchased my very first car, the 2011 Chrysler 200, in June of 2011, I thought it was a very nice car, I worked to pay for it.

On August 22, 2013, I noticed the battery light was on, the car started running a little funny, I went home and parked it. The next day, while out running errands, same thing happens and battery light comes on only this time the car stops and will not start. After receiving a boost, the car runs only for a short time then battery light comes back on and car stops and will not start. Now its the weekend and I contacted the dealership where car was purchased and was told they would not have electrician in til Monday. I missed work on Sunday, got to work late on Monday after dropping car off to dealership, only to wait until Tuesday for a return call about what the problem was with my car. I am told that it's very rare but the alternator was bad, and after paying $109.99 for a diagnosis that the total repair cost is $630. Beyond very pissed!!!! Will not be buying another Chrysler vehicle ever!

OK this is the third time this has happened and the second time I have lost a days work to my vehicle battery dying. I was out with the flu for 4 days and on the 5th day I went to go to work and the car would NOT start. Once again it was towed into the dealers and they put it back on the charger. Once again I was told the battery was good. This time they checked the alternator and I was told that also was working right. Then I was told to come get my vehicle. After asking them how I was to do that, after all, they had my vehicle, I was told that was not her problem, they closed at 5:00pm so I better be there. Well I was able to get the vehicle delivered, with a fully charged battery - AGAIN! But then after a few days I get a call from the service center asking how the battery is doing. I tell them I can already see a sluggish remote. I told her it is when the vehicle sits 4-6 days. So she wants my vehicle in the shop 4-6 days, but will not give me a replacement vehicle. But I do get an explanation on why the battery is dying. I was informed that with all the items on my car, Garmen, radio, compass, hours, gas mileage,gas mileage left, CD player and maybe one or two things else, were pulling the battery down. Now remember all this shuts down when the car shuts down. I leave nothing plugged in. Bluetooth is not on. So she stated that all of this is pulling on the battery when car is off, and then when not ran every day, the battery is being drained. Then all of these items are seeing that the battery is being drained and they go into panic mode and start to pull even more power which in turn drains the battery even more. Now I have a dead battery. I am sorry but a car should be able to sit in a driveway for longer than a week without being started. If not something is wrong in the electrical department and I want it fixed!!

Update from Nov 27, 2011: Well here we go again!! But this time I have about had it. Today is the 27th of November, Sunday. I went out to get into my 2011 Chrysler 200 and guess what? Yep the dang battery is dead again!!! Now what is so different this time is that I drove it home last night from work. And I also drove it the day before that. Oh and the day before that also! So now we are down to just 10 hours of leaving my vehicle parked and the battery will die. But guess what folks?! I got an answer from my service department secretary. She called me after the last time and wanted to know how the vehicle was doing. I told her I could tell the battery was already running down as I had to use the remote 3/4 times just to unlock the door. Now I hope all of you are sitting down, because this is what I was informed. She told me that the reason my battery died was due to the fact I have a fully loaded vehicle, ie: garmen, radio, sun roof, bluetooth, CD player, cruise and soforth. She informed me that when my car sits for a bit, the electircal parts will be drawing on the battery. Then when they reliaze that the vehicle has not started in a few days, the parts start to draw a little heaver on the battery. Well, then the parts start to panic, yes folks my car parts start to panic when they see that the battery is getting low and then they really pull on the battery because they are afraid of not having any power. So they pull as much power as they can as fast as they can. (I DON'T THINK SO!!!) Well I guess my parts just had a panic attack! I will keep ya posted on all that happens this time, I will not settle for just a recharced battery. It will get fixed or I will get a replacement vehicle!! This is for the birds. I cant drive a panickey vehicle. God only knows what it will do on the highway on day if it is in rain or snow. Go into a complete break down!!??
