problems shifting problems shifting

Do all Chrysler motors have to be made to force consumers to take it to dealer for repair. Why can't I get to my solenoid without having to take everything apart. Ends up forcing me to purchase a whole transmission instead of just a repair part. Then there's no warranty that a replacement solenoid is even going to work!

Engine RPM fares as much as 300 RPM, 4 to 5 and 5 to 6 when shifting. Has been re-programmed several times and is not nearly as bad/often. Hasn't cost me anything.

this car is very sluggish, sounds as if the car is pulling or having a hard time trying to get to the next gear; I would expect the car to have a time going up and down hills but even on a straight flat surface it has a hard time, again more problems popping up with this car, fill like i was sold lemon and unfortunate I can't give back at this time to the dealer that sold this piece of junk to me. who ever said that Chrysler was good LIED. soon as I can trade it in it is gone

200 Touring 2.4L

I started the car. I put the car in gear and I was about to go, but traffic prevented me from going, my foot was on the brake for about 2 minutes, I heard a thump. Then I started to go, I was traveling on back roads, not going above 30 and then I got onto the highway, once traffic freed up, I noticed it was having a hard time shifting. I was nervous, so I pulled off the side of the road put vehicle in park and shut it off and restarted. This time no issue.

It has done this several times since then. I have found that if you have your foot on the brake and you are in gear too long before moving after initial start up, it goes into this mode. Solution, I have found is to pull over and start up again. Or if I hear the "thump" to shut off and restart. Have checked recall and this doesn't not fall under any of them.

Transmission clunked loudly when I put it in drive. Then it started ok, but refused to shift after I was on the road. When reaching a point where I could stop, I put it in park, it clunked loudly again. I turned off the engine, went in to my Dr. appointment. Upon returning to start my car, I put it in gear and then it ran fine. This is the third time this has occurred.

200 Touring V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,800 miles

I bought my 2013 Chrysler 200 new from a Chrysler dealership Nov 2014. I have 20,800 miles on it. On March 16, 2015 while driving home rpm went all the the way up to 4 rpms but I could barely get my mph up past 45. It sounded like it was stuck in neutral. It never shifted out of 2nd gear. No engine light, no warning! I finally made it home having called the Chrysler brand every curse word combination that I could think of. I went online and looked up the problem. I did what another guy on this site did and I went outside and restarted my car and drove it. It seems to be working fine now. Not real happy as this was the first time that this issue has come up for me with this car.

I purchased a new automatic 2013 Chrysler 200 convertible in September 2013. A few months later, it would not shift into second gear. This problem has occurred approximately 10 times. I actually have to pull over, turn the car off, and restart the engine. The Chrysler dealership has replaced numerous parts, to no avail. I am in the process of looking for an attorney to pursue a Lemon law claim. Chrysler has been absolutely no help with the problem. I have taken my car to the Chrysler dealership approximately 8 times. This is the WORST car I have ever owned!
