A couple weeks ago my car stalled and totally shut down as I was turning into my driveway. It completely locked up including the brakes, steering, transmission and wouldn't do anything. I tried to put the car in park however the control knob to do so was locked and wouldn't move. The engine was shut down but all the electrical systems were working and several service messages cycled through the display screen. My husband had to disconnect the battery, which reset everything and allowed us to start the car and pull it out of the road and into the driveway. I called Chrysler roadside and my car was towed to the Chrysler dealership. After 3 days in the service dept I was informed they could not recreate the issue that caused the car to totally shut down and lock up while driving. They drove the car, however no codes were active and they were unable to get the car to throw a code while they had the vehicle. They have now returned my car to me without this major safety issue being addressed. Since they could not recreate the stalling and shutdown they returned the car to me. Luckily this happened as I was turning into my driveway as opposed to a few minutes earlier when I was on the highway surrounded by other vehicles. I'm very concerned that it could happen again and next time I may not be as lucky. I leased the car brand new in Aug. 2014, the lease ends Aug. 2017. I intended on keeping the car after the lease was up, but now I'm concerned and feel forced to give it up, even though that may not be the best decision financially. And if I do turn it in, the issue could affect the next owner.

The car intermiently slips into neutral while driving it. I've taken car into dealership and cannot make it replicate. Called Chrysler and even though I have found many complaints such as this, they will not pay for fixing it because they say the car hasn't been placed under a recall.

Majority of the times fails to accelerate with the indication of a collision in the dashboard. Attached a picture on how it looks. Incident happened in many occasions like while driving on a freeway as well as city street, stopping in a signal light.

Several recalls have been completed and we have received 2 different new transmissions; however, we continue to experience sloppy gear shifts and inconsistent sluggish acceleration. When acceleration is needed, the engine will sometimes rev up to 5000 rpms for 1 to 2 seconds before feeling a harsh slip into gear which causes the car to jerk. In close encounter situations this leaves a very uneasy feeling that you are unable to get out of danger in a reasonable amount of time. The action seems to occur most often when decelerating quickly and then accelerating quickly as if the vehicle is stuck in too high a gear for a second or two and then harshly down shifts as you have it floored because it isn't going anywhere. Dealers can't always reproduce in the brief test drives they conduct. Recently, they flashed the "quick learn" component and say it now appears to be driving as designed...but if this is the design, it seems very unsafe.

The purchase of this car has been a headache since the first month of ownership. I immediately had to have a new transmission put into a brand new car, which is unheard of. There have been at least two re-calls for different parts of the car and I'm tired of spending money on a car that is a lemon!!!

Vehicle engine cylinder walls suffered from excessive scoring during the time it was manufactured. The car constantly stalls, shakes, and jerks when driving and during idle periods. This vehicle is very unsafe to drive, due to the fact that control over the vehicle is limited because of theconstant shaking and rumbling of the steering wheel while driving. While I was driving the Chrysler car on the highway, the vehicle almost shut off completely, subsequently putting me and my newborn baby at risk of a fatal accident. The vehicle has also been diagnosed with many other issues with the power train components of the engine. One morning in my garage, the 200 would not crank when pressing the push button ignition and after this, the manual transmission would not shift the vehicle into neutral in order for the car to be towed. This vehicle was purchased brand new in 2015, and Chrysler has failed to fix or acknowledge these issues.

While in motion, this car will shift violently into 3rd gear as well as 5th gear. The entire car jolts forward when this happens. This seems to be a major problem for many divers of this vehicle when doing a quick google search. Why has nothing been done to correct this issue? this is not a one time event. It is a daily event. It happens when driving the car on any city street or highway.

From January - April 2017, I have had multiple instances of losing the ability to accelerate or shift gears while making left hand turns. The car throws up error messages regarding the loss of performance shifting and "lightning bolt" symbol. I have to coast to pull over to the side of the road and restart the engine to get moving again. The last time it occurred, I had a truck behind me. Luckily I was moving fast enough and was able to get out of the way without being involved in an accident. I have had the car into the local chrylser dealership on multiple occasions where they have thought they have found the problem in an electrical connector. It is currently in the shop again and has been for the past month and they still can't figure out the problem.

At this point I'm terrified to drive the vehicle for which I just purchased three months ago on the highway this vehicle would be a death trap. Furthermore the vehicle passenger side airbag light is illuminated indicating that it will not comply I've called Chrysler end the Chevy dealer for which I purchase the vehicle and they told me there's no recall and it appears that my warranty will not pay for the car to get fixed.

After sitting for an extended amount of time at times such as at the bank or drive thru's ect when you pull away it starts fine pulling away slow. Then when you try to speed up to go into traffic it will slip into neutral. The only thing that I have found that helps it is to literally shift it into neutral physically then shift it back to drive. It is very dangerous in busy traffic. I took it to the dealership who "couldn't make it do it" and they said when the red engine light comes on to bring it back. I looked it up on the internet and other people have had this same issue with this model car.

Transmission has numerous problems. Hard shifting, hesitations, and lunging forward are some examples of the problems with the transmission. My car has been to an authorized Chrysler dealership several times for transmission repairs and they will not fix the problem. I've been told by the dealership that Chrysler is aware of the issue but they won't do anything about it because the transmission was designed that way according to the dealership. There have been several times when coming to a stop that the car will downshift abruptly, causing my car to lunge forward, I've almost hit cars stopped in front of me when this happens. I do have service records from each time my car has been in the shop, which started in August of 2016.

I get frequent accelerations when coasting and even applying the brakes lightly. Very disturbing. Additionally there is a large lag from throttle press to acceleration which has caused several close calls when changing lanes in city and highway driving. This started in 2014 shortly after I purchased the vehicle and continues to this day.
