I refused and asked them to test the car more because there obviously had to be an issue since the car cut off & went into neutral as I was braking at a light.I had the car towed to a different cjd in town & they called the next day stating I needed a new engine and possibly a new tranny. They only replaced the engine & the tcm valve. I got the car back(1/6/17) and the next morning I pulled out on a street and the car jerked so hard. It left my neck in pain for the remainder of the day. I contacted Chrysler customer care to file a complaint. I was told to take the car back to see if they could fix the issue before a resolution is determined. I was told I needed a new tranny this time. The car is still jerking, hesitating/lagging at time, and very scary to drive. I took the car in last week 2/9 with complaints and they gave it right back a few hours later saying they didn't see anything wrong. I showed a video of the car running and sounding like a lawn mover. They said the noise wasn't normal but since it wasn't showing any error messages or making the noise there they couldn't keep it. Ive been trying to reach my case manager(bridgett)with fca & she won't return my phone calls as usual. She offered a trade in assistance program but it had to be another cjd vehicle & 2017 which I can't afford & don't want another vehicle from them. Im tired of driving around in fear that my car will lose power again or cause me to get hit. Im upside down & nobody seems to care about I have 8 service invoices about this issue.the first was 5/25. I spoke with bob mckeehan and the sales manager, both assured me the car was safe and will be fixed. - October 27th ' 'seems it's an electrical problem rather than a transmission issue' - October 31st ' 'ordered a wiring harness' - November 1st ' 'car ready to go' - all paperwork showed recalls were fixed - January 23rd the car again went into limp mode and begins 'bucking' in the parking lot of my office. There were only 1610 miles put on it from October - January 30th ' picked up the car and was told it was the cam shaft. - February 4th ' the car goes into limp mode with my husband and children in the car - February 6th ' car towed in. Still in the shop. They don't know what to do with it. Car is still at the dealership.

Compatibility of engine and transmission (powertrain). While stationary at a red light or stop sign while the vehicle is in drive there is excessive vibration in the steering wheel. While still in a stationary mode you can move the selector knob to neutral and the vibration will go away. This test confirms that there is definitely a torque issue with the drive train. Chrysler has incorporated all known software updates and replaced all motor and transmission mounts. Problem still exists. Chrysler response was this is a characteristic of the 200 and will not affect any components. Excessive vibration indicates that there are components not in acceptable range of tolerance and will cause components to wear out prematurely. This problem that is associated with the powertrain could become a serious safety issue in that the loss of human life is possible should the powertrain lock up due to premature failure of internal components.

When I pulled in driveway temperature went very hot and said, shut engine off temp is hot! the air wouldn't work either. Now my airbag sign is on and says service airbag. Im afraid to drive this vehicle and dealership are two weeks backed up. Please help. This car is unsafe for my family.

I were in little but really scared accident with my almost new Chrysler. In very slow traffic (5-7 miles/hour) when I tried to come home after work meeting from kirkland suddenly I realized that my brakes don't wanna stop the car with light tapping as it was ok previously, then tapped on brake harder and then panic and realized the brake. I end up with hang on the tail (the little thing attached to the rear end of the car) of big track. I tried to say something about brakes problem to my insurance, but collision repair company did not confirm my concerns and I paid $1000 deductible as the driver in fault (in the future it will affect my monthly pay for insurance). I tried to find the solution but only my family can support me without laughing at my problem with the car safety. One of my friends told me, that I need to involve some of an independent professional and stop trying talk to the wall. Chrysler already took an advantage of my not fair purchase and then my trade-in with them (my dealership refused to replace my previous Chrysler 200 for safety reason again!!! and sold to me my current Chrysler for $43,000 and it's not safe still!!!). in additional, I scared with the noise producing by the car while I'm driving: There are two types of noise from the engine when it's going down of the hill and windows or something like windows shaking noise. Frankly saying, I have very upsetting experience with the dealership and start looking for the second opinion with treating me as the fair and professional business. Please let me know what is in the options to keep my life safe since I have a strong feeling, that I'm not safe to drive my Chrysler. Thank you!

On multiple occasions, random times of day, I would attempt to start my car (or sometimes already be driving) but the engine light and parking light would turn on with a message reading "service transmission, service parking brake" and I can not get the car out of park. This happened at times when I was parked in my driveway, when I was at a complete stop at a red light and has even left me stranded in vacant parking lots. I took the car in for service and was told it was a software upgrade. I left my car, had the upgrade and the problem still occurs. I was told that the only option left is to replace the transmission. During all of my conversations and visits to the dealer, I surprised that no one has mentioned once to me that this car was recalled for electrical issues. I found that out myself when I was doing some research on the issue. This is a huge safety concern. I was left stranded in a parking lot overnight until I could find a ride to get me home, I've stalled out in the middle of the highway when I was stopped for traffic, and I've lost count of the amount of work days I've been out because was car has not been reliable enough to start when I need it to. The car is less than 1.5 years old. I shouldn't be dealing with these issues.

Why won't someone do something to Chrysler about these cars before someone dies. Then they really will have to pay. These cars are not safe from what I am reading. Please help me out. And another child with a kidney disease I need a dependable car not one that I am not even gonna get to enjoy... what do I need to do. Because I bought my car used at 44,000 the lemon law doesn't cover it what I have been told.also the dealership after us signing the original agreement ask me to sign three different agreements with them changing the payment amount every time. I picked it up and have been leery about it ever since well a month of having it and on Nov 28 2016 I was going home from the store and was turning into my street when my car stalled out on the road. I was hit by a oilfield water truck and my car was totaled. I went in to the hospital with injuries to my face, leg arm and head. I ended up with a concussion and bruising all over and a boot on my foot. And there's a possibility my jaw is dislocated. Update 09/28/17. Updated 7/12/18
