This is totally ridiculous. I purchased my new car April 15, 2015 and the engine was knocking by Sunday April 19, 2015. I called the dealership April 20, 2015 and told them where they could go pick the car up. I was without transportation and had to get a ride to work. When I went to the dealership, they provided me with one of their cars, but called me later that week to tell me that they needed their car back and come in to get a rental. When I returned the car, the guy in the repair shop, Ryan, gave me a PO number for a rental and told me that someone from the rental company would come get me. Not one time did he mention the condition of my car or how long it would be. I had to ask him about my car. By this time I was fuming. In the meantime, I asked to talk to the owner, who was out. His son spoke with me and went to check on my car situation. He then told me that they were waiting on Chrysler's approval and did not know what the problem was and how long it was going to take. I should not have to go through this Sh*t. The car dealership, Allen Vines could only say they were sorry. The son of Mr. Vines even had the nerve to tell me that my car purchase was like playing the lottery and I just lost on this deal.( not exact words but something of that nature.) My thoughts were, "What the Hell!. Why would he tell me some dumb as Sh*t like that. I asked him about them just replacing the car with another, he said that he couldn't do that and said, "Mam, I am so sorry !" My thoughts were " Bullshit!" I know that there is something that he could do. I also asked him about my upcoming payment and that nut told me that I'll have to pay it. I told him why would I pay for a car that I don't have. That's just f*cking crazy. I told him that I would consult with legal council he said that if I needed he'd assist me. That was a joke, Right! Did he really think I would let me help find a lawyer to sue him. Dumb, Dumb Dummy! I then journeyed on to the rental place and I explained my situation to them and the lady asked me where I had purchased my car and when I told her, she stated that she's had several people come there from Allen Vines with bad car purchases. I'm now driving a rental at Allen Vine's Expense and no idea when I'll get my car back. This was a purchase that I made for my upcoming birthday, May 1st. What advice or solution does anyone have. Happy Not Birthday to Me!!!!!

took car to Chrysler dealership and to a very reputable mechanic...neither could pinpoint the problem. The sound can be replicated by bringing car to complete stop, placing in neutral and slightly pressing accelerator. Although I first thought problem was underneath the car, my mechanic realized it is in the engine and sometimes comes through the exhaust.
There have been several post about this issue in this particular model....any updates?
