A notification to 'service air bags' shows up on my dashboard constantly. Have only had the car for about 8 months and I do not use it that much. It has about 51,000 miles. Read online that there was a recall (Chrysler recall # S09) but have been told that my car was not included but my car is experiencing the exact problem described.

My car has stalled while driving, while almost immediately losing ability to steer the car. I repeatedly would have to put the car in park and try to restart the car in order to get the car home. As well as having a airbag light that comes on when every I over bumpy roads.

I purchased this vehicle used at 61708. I'll say a week into me driving it off the lot the airbag light will occasionally pop on. I thought because one day I forgot to put my gas cap on but even after it will randomly pop up. I got services done to my vehicle 02/07/18. It is now the 13th of February and airbag warning has popped up.

My Chrysler 200 had been recalled mid 2015 for a glitch in their computer system that required all Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Fiat vehicles with the 8.4 screen to have a chip sent out and installed by self to update and instill security to those cars. In January of 2016 I was involved in a collision in my Chrysler 200. My entire front end was knocked off as I was awaiting a turn in a center lane on a city street. My engine dropped and all fluids were expelled from this vehicle, my air bags did not deploy. When I called concerned about it I was told that my vehicle was tested with a hand device in a junk yard and that I had not been hit hard enough or in the right place for them to deploy. I could not believe due to the force and damage done but was still told by a Chrysler representative that there was no malfunction with the air bags. The car was a total loss but was resold to a dealership in cincinnati, oh and put up for sale. I am still receiving notifications about the car due to uconnect and is very concerned about this same vehicle being sold and put on the road.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. Within months of owning the vehicle, the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V114000 (air bags). The vehicle has not yet been diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer indicated that the vehicle was excluded from an air bag recall, and provided no solution other than stating to have the vehicle diagnosed. The failure mileage was not available.

On December 31, 2017 my wife and I were on our way homefrom church when the seat belt light came on. We read the owners manual, not able to do anything cause of the holidays. On January 2, 2018 I called the Chrysler dealer near me and set up an appointment to have it checked out. Later that day the service man called and said it was the air bag on the passenger seat and a short wire harness, the cost would be about $800 which I spent $127 to have it checked out. I did not have it repaired because I feel this is a Chrysler problem. At this time our air bags don't work. I feel this is a safety issue that Chrysler should be responsible for. This dealer told me that they have had a number of service calls of this same problem. I also called two other dealer, and they told me they have had many issues of the same problem. They all stock replacement parts so this must be an a serious issue. The dealer called our extended warranty co. And it was not covered. I called Chrysler and never got a return call after she hung up on me. So at this time this is why I am writing you.

Vehicle in motion has unexpected shifting to neutral, jumps into gear when accelerating and decelerating. Vehicle wiring to airbags is damaged with no accident. Car power randomly powers off in motion. These issues have been ongoing for about 2 years now since I got the vehicle.

Takata recall February 2017, I was sitting in the driveway of my moms house when I hear a ringing noise in my car, the car wasn't moving; it was turned on and parked. It appeared on my dash and said service air bag sensor. The light stayed on and never went off. I called the dealership and they told me there was no recall on it so there was nothing they could do for me unless I paid the $200 to get it looked at and fixed. A friend of ours drove our car and ended up getting into an accident. He rear ended a police officer and the air bags never deployed, prior to the accident, the sensor light was already on. Which is a major concern for me. The whole front end of my car was damaged and needs completely repaired along with the other vehicles rear end.

Takata recall a month after I purchased the car in March 29,2017 my seatbelt light pop on and shortly after less than a week of the seatbelt light coming my airbag light came on buzzing making noise my break was making a noise so I took to american financial on winchester that services the cars but I was told there were nothing wrong with the break but now I really hear the breaks scrubbing the also all 4 tries was replaced with new tires and so now I'm dealing with my tracking light on all the time if it's cold outside I have had the worst time with this 2015 with 42125 milage and I was told that nothing on here were covered under warranty but I have a printout that show that this same seat belt was fixed under warranty 7/2016 and other things were fixed under warranty I really need some assistant with what I have going on because I know I shouldn't have all these issue on this car already

The "service air bag system" constantly comes on and off. Some times it stays on for days. Sometimes it just constantly turns on and off continually dinging. Its very frustrating. It doesn't matter if I am idle, or driving. There is no rhyme or reason to when it turns on and off. I have had it serviced at the dealer 3 times now. They tell me its just a sensor or wiring but it still continues to happen. I bought the car in may and this is December and I am still dealing with this all the time.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. Every time the vehicle was started, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The failure occurred for at least twelve months. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (arrego Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram in sawgrass, Florida) where it was determined that the warranty had expired and the diagnosis and repair would be at the contact's expense. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

On November 29, 2017 at approximately 5:15 pm, was driving approximately 25mph in traffic on a two lane. I hit the brake to stop, no brakes, and I hit the person in front of me. After hitting them, I bounced off and continued to move with no brakes. My airbags did not deploy and I sustained injuries to me chest, neck, head and back. I was able to steer the car in the right side lane and eventually was able to steer into a parking lot; still with no brakes. I looked down to pull up the emergency brake and saw the shifter in neutral. I then put the shifter in park and the car finally stopped. I do not yet have the police report. I did not receive a ticket, but was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
