I've never experienced anything quite like the problems I've been having with this brand new car. Only one week after purchasing this vehicle I started noticing it jerk and strain to get into the next gear when accelerating. The problem has gradually become worse, where it occurs every time I drive the vehicle. The only reason I waited this long to start looking into the problem is because I've never had a 4 cylinder car before and I just assumed this was the way they drove.

After the red light I was stopped at turned green, I pressed the accelerator and the vehicle refused to move! I double checked that I was in Drive and I sure was!! The engine revved to around 5,000 rpm and then after about 15 to 20 seconds it decided to shift into first gear. This problem is dangerous. I have a daughter that is nearly 2 years old in this vehicle with me and if this were to happen while traveling at a higher rate of speed or if someone rear ended us, I don't even want to think about that. I have read the numerous issues about the transmission issues with the 200. I sadly wish I never agreed to this car. I did not want it in the first place because of a nagging feeling that it would be a pain in the ass and here we go!!

Vehicle drives poorly at highway speeds. Took back to dealer for road test and they could not duplicate issue. Scanned for fault codes and misfire code was present.
