The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact also stated while driving approximately 30 mph the vehicle suddenly stalled. While driving at higher speeds the vehicle would lunge forward. NHTSA campaign id number: 04V334000 (electrical system:battery:cables) may also be related to the recent failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. I have a 2005 Chrysler 300C with a potential catastrophic defect. During a routine service check, I informed the service manager that I detected an odor of gasoline at the rear of the car. During the inspection, I was informed that the gas tank was leaking from the seams and that he would not allow me to drive the vehicle until the gas tank was replaced at my expense.
