Smelled smoke and then noticed cabin of car filling with smoke as I was driving home. Made it to front of building where I live, got out of car and saw smoke billowing from trunk. Opened trunk and saw flames. Closed trunk. Ran into building, had concierge put out fire with fire extinguisher. Austin fire department showed up after fire was extinguished. Afd incident # 07086697.

- the contact stated he took his 2006 M300 for service at his local dealership. While driving the vehicle completely lost power. He began to smell smoke in the passinger compartment of the vehicle. He got out the vehicle he notice flames coming from the back where the battery is located. He contacted the local fire dept. The contact believes that his vehicle was not serviced correctly. No police report was taken.
