Our Chrysler 300 stalls while driving. Engine light is on, but when taken to service, the dealer says nothing is wrong with it. This stalling is dangerous! stalling at a red light and while driving is something that Chrysler should recall. There are other complaints on this website about this.

My vehicle would stalls intermittently and would cease to operate. Extremely dangerous, the last time it happened I got stuck in the middle of an intersection. I have taken it to the dealer for this same problem twice and both times they advise me they cannot find anything wrong with my vehicle. I have read multiple complaints about this problem but apparently Chrysler refuses to look into it.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While driving 10-15 mph, the vehicle stalled and failed to accelerate. The vehicle would accelerate approximately one minute later. The dealer stated that the vehicle misfired on two occasions. On two other occasions, the dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of failure. The dealer installed a power train control module, however, the failure continued. As of August 16, 2007, the vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 10,000 and current mileage was 26,000. The dealer stated the rear brake tube must be inspected for damage, if brake tube is damaged must be replaced. The consumer provided multiple repair invoices pertaining to the defect. Updated 08/31/07

Stared idling rough and at lower rpms. Dealer said on two occasions it was the fuel type I was using. Was never informed of this either during the sale or in writing (I.e. vehicle manuals). The third trip to the dealer I was informed they needed to disassemble to top half of the engine and rebuild it.

At cold start, for fifteen to twenty seconds, engine revs from 500 to 1500 rpms, several times and almost cuts out. 1st visit: Sensors checked at dealership; 2nd visit: Throttle body replaced; 3rd visit: Computer reprogrammed; 4th visit: Map sensor replaced. Problem still persists. We are getting really irritated.

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300, my engine started knocking, I had my vehicle towed to the nearest dealership were they informed me that I have sludge in my engine and there is nothing else that could be done until I provide maintenance record, the blame was placed on me, the consumer. I was told that I neglected my new vehicle that I owe 32K on. How crazy is that. The car was 10 months old at the time I took it to the dealer for repair and also had a oil change the day of my car being towed to the dealer for repair. My car gears are not shifting properly, and my engine at 21,000 miles should not be sludged even after the oil changes were done on the vehicle. Chrysler along with the dealership refuse to repair my car and the recall. They told me since I was unable to provide documentation of my oil changes that my repair is not covered under the manufactures warranty. I advised Chrysler that surely they would understand that if I have $3500 wheel on my car that surely they would know spending under $25 for an oil change is not a big deal. I have the 2.7L engine that is known for sludged engines and catastrophic engine failures. I plan to rent a bill board on one of the major highways in my area to advise consumers beware of the 2.7 liter engines. I plan to use the local media, newspaper and picket the Chrysler plant and dealership in my area. I was told to come pick up my vehicle after they have had my car for over a month because I will start being billed for storage charges. I advised him that I refuse to pick up that vehicle until the repairs and recall has been done. The car is consider a safety hazard and still shows an incomplete recall.

This new car was purchased by me in 01/06 and the problem became apparent within the first 30 days. Dealer told me that nothing can be done unless a trouble light came on. V6 engine. At idle the engine misses and the care loses continuously while at idle.

: the contact stated while driving 10 mph the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to be driven off the road and upon restarting the dash lights illuminate. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the crankshaft position sensor was replaced. A month later the problem recurred. Again, the vehicle was towed to the dealer and the crankshaft sensor was replaced. Updated 6/16/2006 -

There's a miss in the engine when driving at level or steady speed...doesn't matter how fast or how slow.. gear shifter is hanging up and hard to get out of park to drive... gas mileage is a lot less than rated...
