September 3, 2015 was first time driving car any distance since repair 6/23/15 - 7/7-15 $2,100, machining cylinder heads. Dealer (Hendrick) kept car a week or so before I could get a guess as to cause of car misfiring just as it had on 6/23/15. Said had to replace EGR valve $300 before they could diagnose problem. After further delays they said they thought the PCM (computer) might be bad. Dealer ended up replacing EGR valve at no cost and having Chrysler furnish the PCM at no cost. Two weeks after having the car returned the idle would flutter and sometimes die. Dealer has had car 56 of the last 70 days. They say they have replaced the gas tank transfer pumps, fuel pump, cleaned throttle body and replaced intake gaskets. Returned car on 11/4/15 as repaired. Didn't drive until 11/5/15 and discovered gas leaking from the fuel tank. Dealer said they must have pinched the o-ring on the transfer pump. After the o-ring replacement the dealer was delivering car back on 11/6/15 at 4:45pm when he called and said the car stalled while driving on the highway. Now they say it is the wiring connector to the furel tank. Car remains at Hendrick dealership.

2006 Chrysler 300. A year ago (2013) Vehicle was losing power on hills. While sitting at traffic lights the vehicle would "jump" felt like it was lunging forward.
Took vehicle in to mechanic. Mechanic drove it said it was misfiring. Needed a tune up. Got tune up ($300.00). Vehicle still doing same thing. Mechanic said it was the transmission. Took to transmission shop. They checked the transmission and said there was no problem with the transmission. ($300.00). Took the vehicle to another mechanic. They checked the vehicle and found a spark plug wire was bad and changed out the spark plugs. The vehicle ran good for almost a year.
The vehicle began doing the exact thing as above mention. Took the vehicle to Chrysler. They said the wiring harness was "rodent damaged". I do believe that was the case. I did see the wiring harness was frayed. That was replaced at $2600.00. Drove off lot about a mile and the jumping and lunging began again. Took it back. Chrysler said it was miss firing (code 6). Tune up again. ($300.00). Drove home. Next day miss firing/lunging. While driving to Chrysler the vehicle kept stalling. Would be sitting at a light and go to take off and no power. Vehicle was off. Finally got the vehicle to Chrysler. I asked to see the owner of the dealership, but got the next best thing, I guess, the service manager. He put me in a rental car and sent me on my way saying, "We will fix your car". Well, he called me the next day saying it was the CAM sensor and needed a tune up. He did deduct the last tune up and charged me $163.00 I think for the sensor? Well I have had it back for about 2 months. It doesn't shut off anymore, but it still misfires/lunges while sitting at a light or stop sign. It is worse with the air-conditioner on.
Well, I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do anymore. I think I will contact Chrysler Corporation and see if there is anything they know about this problem. I don't have the money to keep putting into this vehicle. I am female, does that matter????

Car began misfiring in interstate traffic. Because it lunged and/or paused it was too dangerous to drive in traffic and I had it towed 100 miles home to the closest Chrysler dealer. Dealer was inept in my opinion, kept the car almost three weeks until I filed a review with the BBB. Dealer (Hendrick) said I was losing 30% compression in #3 cylinder and sent heads out to be machined. Timing belt and water pump were also replaced at a cost of $2,100. Bought car new and used mainly on trips otherwise stays garaged. 35 K miles.
