I bought my car used in 2010. The airbag light has always been on. I took to the dealership one year ago and he told me there was not a recall on it and it would cost over $450 to fix. I just reviewed the recalls on both airbags one dated 5/3015 and the other 5/2016. I just called safecar.gov and she said there is no remedy yet. The recalls said they need to both be replaced. I'm printing page out and taking to dealership and hope they will replace both airbags as stated on this website.

Takata recall: My complaint is not with the chrylser corporation itself, my complaint is the way that dealerships (ancira Chrysler and ingram park Chrysler) are handling it. I am actively trying to get my Chrysler 300 airbag replaced, and I keep receiving notices from Chrysler to get it done - and in the notices it says that it takes 2 hours to be replaced. When I contact a dealer to get it done, they tell me that they do not accept appointments for this recall, they are 4-6 weeks away from getting to my vehicle, I will have to leave my vehicle there for 3-5 days, and they will call me when it is available - but they never do. The Chrysler representative even helped me call them and they never pick up the phone. They are purposely trying to dissuade people from getting it done. I am a working single parent, with one vehicle - it's all I can afford. I don't want my face blown off by my airbag, but I don't want to lose my job either. What the dealerships are doing is irresponsible, despicable and should be prohibited. They are not putting any priority into the resolution of this recall - and are as guilty as Chrysler in their cover up of the defective airbags.
