The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The gauges malfunctioned and the vehicle became inoperable. The contact received a recall notification under NHTSA campaign number: 14V567000 (electrical system), but the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The diagnostic determined that the failure was an anti-lock brake issue. After a 23 point inspection, the vehicle was still inoperable. The motor fractured and locked after the inspection and the hoses were dry rotted. In addition, there were two bolts on the floorboard of the vehicle. The radiator leaked fluid after the repair with an additional case of spark plug rust. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Lost power when ignition switch moved from drive position. Ignition switch sticks. Can pop out of position if you are not careful to make sure it is in correct position before you move vehicle. Took me days to figure this out. Took it to Chrysler dealership several times in 2013. They were never able to fix this problem, then this recall came out. I am still driving with this problem. Dealerships never have the parts to fix either one of the recalls, and cant tell me when they will... have the parts. Very frustrating. Need this vehicle for work, but I don't feel safe driving it.I deal with 2 dealerships in my area. They have not been very helpful.

While driving down the road the engine would just lose power and shut down completely, leaving me without brakes or the ability to steer. Sometimes the ignition switch would hang and not start the engine until about the fourth or fifth try. So, I took the car in for service and repairs to fix the problem. They said the problem was in the ignition...something to do with the wcm module or win module or forbik and only the dealer could repair it. On April 1, 2014, jim cogdill Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, 8544 kinston pike knoxville, tn 37919 did the work. Then, after I had spent a total of $576.62 for parts and labor, I get a letter from Chrysler informing me of safety recall P57 / NHTSA 14V-567. November 19, 2014, I sent in all of the requested information and forms and receipts stating that I had paid for repairs and that I wanted a refund. On December 10, 2014, I received an email from Chrysler's customer assistance center case manager stating that they "will be able to look into my reimbursement request further when the parts are available". as of today, April 21, 2015, the "parts" are still not available and neither is my refund. My reference with Chrysler cac for this claim is case #[xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

After exiting highway, I slowed car speed down to about 25 mph when the car suddenly experienced a loss of engine power, power steering and power brakes. Car was still in driving mode. I was able to restart car after waiting 10 to 15 minutes.

While driving slow, the brake pedal was depressed and went all the way down with no braking effect. A complete loss of hydraulic resistance and stopping capacity. If this vehicle had been on an interstate highway at 70 mph with an emergency simi truck panic stopping in front of this vehicle, the driver would not survive. With this happening to this vehicle this may be a rare event, but if I did not report this, it would be neglect on my part.

This car is a lemon! I see other people's issues and I cannot believe this car hasn't been totally recalled and overhauled! every month since I got it ( my first used car!).. it was at rental company for 1 1/2 years then I was the sucker that bought it! the tie rods go once a year and mechanics 'all talk who Chrysler made them bad I guess" then the Goodyear intregrity's hydroplane....the suspension sounds like beverly hillbillies...I was told that the noises I hear are not the shocks I had replaced but are now the actual front arm controls of my car that are rotting away...another thing is the engine "kicks in hard" when going into 2nd shift (automatic)..the horn is hard to press..the front tires rub, you can hear then when turning even though I am up to date on rotors and pads...let's see what else oh yes just paid $400 because the car started to overheat so when I was there getting that fixed I told them how my car has always had condensation on it in the winter..I can chisel off the ice particles on the inside! they said I needed a whole new housing of some sorts fixed so they did that..hum what else? oh now the engine light is on and the car is chugging and jerking like I'm in a farmer's tractor! it's 10/2013 and I have 2 more years to go to pay...I have no more $$$ thanks Chrysler..god bless America...2 more to pay on this..I should have stuck with Honda or go Toyota!

I had several complete brake jobs to get rid of the swilling and noise from the brakes when I stop. None of the things that I had done by the dealership fixed the problem. The dealership stated I had to live with the problem. I still have the same problem today. I have other friends with Chrysler that states they have the same problem. Please note- this vehicle was purchased new.

While coming to a controlled stop at an intersection w.4th St & trimble rd mansfield, Ohio there was a significant bang and a sharp change in the cars dynamic. The rear passenger side wheel locked up causing a screeching skid. I observed a deflated tire. Upon changing the tire there was significant damage to the aluminum rim as if an explosion had occurred. A visible large gaping hole could be seen in the wheel. The vehicle would not roll forward freely, however it would roll freely in reverse. The vehicle was towed to char's cars St rt 39 mansfield Ohio where it was purchased approximately 3 days ago.....after conferring with their service manager [xxx], he stated that the bolts on the caliper sheared off. This raises great concern for the safety of myself and others. This vehicle was purchased for my son whom is in the us military and would be driving over 456 mi back to his base......please come investigate! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
