On about 2 September 2016, car would not start. The following day I got it started and had vehicle towed to the dealership and had a starter relay replaced and a cooling fan fuse. Car started fine for about 4 days and what do you know would not start again. Fast forward to last Sunday had to jump start the car and take back to dealership. Come to find out the freakin TIPM is bad and yeah it will be about $1500 job to fix. Now in the process of getting the problem fixed. It is so ridiculous that this problem has been going on with these cars and Chrysler acts like its no big deal. Uh paying $1500 dollars is a BIG freakin deal. Will never buy a Chrysler again.

The cost to fix TIPM is too much for me at the moment. This saddens me because I take very good care of my car and this incident has not only ruined my car but I have to pay for it!!!!!!!
I had this car for about a year and it has been reliable up until about 2 weeks ago. Now I have had the car show signs of TIPM faulty issues but the vehicle had never completely shut off while going at speeds of 65mph!!! I am not only lucky to be alive, I am glad that no one was seriously injured. There were minor injuries.
It is important for everyone with vehicles from Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep to know that THIS IS SERIOUS!!! If you wake up one morning and your vehicle unknowingly refuses to start TAKE HEED! This is the first sign of faulty TIPM (make sure fluids and everything else is fine to pinpoint the issue). I can't even detail all the troubles that happen after I verified that all the fluids and everything was fine. It is headache inducing but I will detail.
Once I got the vehicle to start I revved the engine and made sure everything was good. Everything seemed fine and so I continued on driving. Onto the highway, the vehicle was fine for 10 mins then all of a sudden the brake and gas pedals just seized up like as if everything just shut down and there was no way for me to stop or even maneuver the wheel!!!!! It was scary accident happened where I was rear ended and everything went to sh*t from there!!!!
The car still starts but I do not drive it because the computer confirmed that it was due to TIPM faulty issues. I could have died that day and the fact that Chrysler has a settlement for certain vehicles pisses me off because this was an ongoing issue with Chrysler vehicles.

I have a 2008 Chrysler 300 that wont start. The first time this problem occurred, (summer of 2015) I I called the local dealer and explained....vehicle would not start. I am able to lock and unlock car, lights come on when key is inserted , etc. but ignition would not start. They advised the "Fob" was out. I purchased a new one (over $200). The car did start and worked continuously for few more months. On November 20, 2015 I was left stranded again. I replaced the battery in the new Fob, A new battery was purchased for the vehicle, I even replaced the Alternator- fuses were checked and a local mechanic advised the problem appeared to be the "ignition switch" Contacted the local dealer and they advised they had not heard of this issue and vehicle would have to be brought in (at my expense) and diagnostics would be performed (at my expense). I was in the process of making arrangements to get my vehicle to the service department when I received a call that no appointment was available till December 15,2015, I had no choice but to accept this. During the following weeks, Coincidently overheard co worker discussing issues with their 300 and almost exact issue occurring and they had purchased their second Fob and vehicle still would not start. After a discussion we decided to research this issue...apparently there is a recall for similar issue. I contacted the dealership and was given run around. January 4, 2016 I found another dealership just outside of town and they simply asked for my VIN, advised there were 2 open recalls for my vehicle and make and model. They were happy to take a look at the car. January 19, 2016I had my vehicle towed to their service department and have not heard from them yet. In the meantime I have found numerous articles, blogs, complaints about this recall and customers still don't have their vehicles repaired. Fingers crossed that I get good news soon. I remain hopeful.

Car starts sometimes and sometimes not. Have to alternate using one of the three FOBIK keys to see which one the car wants to work with on that given day, or sometimes doesn't like any of them at all.

I NEED MY CAR FIXED. I'M DISABLED SINGLE PARENT TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF MY FAMILY. NOW I HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION. IT ALL STARTED WITH THE CAR TURNING OFF WHEN I DRIVE IT, THEN NEXT IT NOT CRANKING UP WHEN I TURN ON THE IGNITION AND ENDED WITH MY CAR SMOKING WHEN I TRIED TO CRANK IT UP.

This problem started last year and when we tried to have it fixed we were told that the part would not be available until February of 2014. I asked for the part to be ordered and the dealership reported to me that it could not be ordered as the computer showed the part as working. I then asked what I was supposed to drive as I could not trust the car to start and was told to wait until it went out.
Since then, the car has only been used for local driving. Now the problem has returned worse than before. I received my recall notice and was told by the dealership that it would take up to a year to get the part, so even with the recall I still have a car I can't trust to drive even if it starts.

My car just stopped running, I was about to drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up relatives flying in from Canada for a nice long weekend in San Diego and my car just stopped. I tried recycling the key to get the code for the problem, what a joke that was, and of course I couldn't move the vehicle to have it scanned other than to the local Chrysler dealer. I towed the vehicle to the dealer (another $60.00 dollars) and they informed me it was the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) and to fix it would only take 2 hours and would cost $689.00, Really?
I know sometimes a module needs replacing for little stuff, but my whole car will not function due to probably one fuse or another, I have been so inconvenienced by this and feel the cost is outrageous to replace what is actually a large fuse box. I have had to borrow cars from my family just to get to work, I don't know if you have noticed money is tight and I don't have that kind of cash just laying around the house for fuses. If there is a recall on this item I would appreciate any and all information.

My car would not start, all the light inside came on and the doors would lock. Then minutes later it started. The nice morning it happened again. Had it towed to the Chrysler Dealer. When I told them I have the extended warranty, they claim they cannot find it in their system. Mind me I had my car repaired there before, they have my info but not the warranty. Then they called me that the warranty has expired in May. I bought the car in June. And it's only at 45000 miles. So I had to come out of pocket $945.00 for replace the TIPM. I also seen that there has been a claim filed on the same part in November 2013

recall p57 was on three recalls performed for this worthless vehicle.
now my tipm is faulty and the car won't start. the Chrysler dealer wants $1691 to replace it. but there have been millions of people with the same exact issue and worse. there is a class action lawsuit against Chrysler because they refuse to issue a recall for it. the tipm is basically the computer for this piece of sh*t. why not repair or trouble shoot or reprogram the tipm if they know that the p57 recall (win) is connected to it and Chrysler knows that the car will not start/cut off while running etc...
horrible scam, cut a corner, useless unethical dirt bags!!!
who are too cheap and way too stupid to admit that they made an absolute piece of sh*t car. I truly truly despise them for endangering the lives of millions of people. they don't even sell the part online.
