A strong odor of gasoline ocurs every time the fuel tank is filled to 3/4 th. Or more. The gastank has been replaced once, the fuel level seal on top the tank has been replaced. And the tank has been pressurized to try to find the cause, but to no avail.this has been going on for several months, and the dealer remedies have not eliminated the problem. Less fuel in the tank eliminates the strong odor of gasoline. When parked, the odor is worse. The garage is dangerously filled with gasoline fumes.

Had two occasions in the past 12 months where as I'm driving along, the engine shut off and was barely able to keep car from colliding with other vehicles on road. Most recently, I experienced a 3rd incident where while driving at approx 30 mph, all warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle lost power and was unable to accelerate. Pulled over and shut off car. And tried to restart. Engine started but was in 'limp' mode and had codes in computer. Had car towed to mechanic and they stated codes P0344, P0340 & B1A35 present. Advised that motor now has a knock in it and would need an entire replacement.

The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. While merging into the right lane at 50 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The failure occurred several times. The dealer stated that the computer module and the wireless key needed to be replaced and reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for further inspection and the contact was informed that the fuel pump may be leaking. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,504.
