My 2010 Chrysler 300 S was bought brand new from a Chrysler dealership, and has been regularly maintained, a few weeks ago it stalled, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. They informed me that I need to replace the engine, only 67,000 miles on it. Talked to Chrysler directly, they wanted me to have dealership take engine apart to find the issue. Blown cylinders and sludging, despite having oil changed about 3500 miles ago ( Chrysler User manual suggests every 6000 miles ). Although both my extended service warranty 70,000 / 5 years and power train warranty 100,000 / 5 years lapsed chronologically, neither of the mileage limits were reached. Penalizing someone for driving less miles per year than average and exceeding manufacturing maintenance requirements does not seem fair or smart for a company. It suggests to their customers that their cars last only five years maximum irrespective of treatment, not a good way to market your brand! Really hoping that Chrysler steps up to the plate and takes responsibility for what is an obvious design fault, something that they should have remedied after having the same problem in their notorious 2.7 L version of this engine. If anyone has advice, I'm all ears...

I Own a Chrysler 300 2010 Keep it well maintained. Past few weeks it has been running poorly Hesitant to start.

Thought it may need new battery. 61000 miles. Fri 11/4/2016 driving on interstate I-93 Engine seized!!!!!!

No warning. No oil light. No engine lights went on, Nothing. l almost got killed on highway!! towed it to service station

that was 200 miles away from home. Have extended warranty. Called Chrysler and they said I have to tow it to dealership to determine if it is covered.... Here we go. There has been at least 2800 complaints against Chrysler engine failures due to oil sludge due to defective engines.

There is a pending class action lawsuit vs Chrysler 2.7 lite v6 engine. Looks like I might have to head down that road. I can't afford a 6000.00 REPAIR!!!!

I have a 2010 Chrysler 300. Engine gave out while pulling up to a stop sign before pulling into busy traffic on a main road. Has approximately 65,000 miles, well maintained and even serviced at Chrysler dealership. Chrysler refuses to help; keeps giving me the runaround on "cost assistance", representatives tell different stories, every time there is a new fee for something else that I have to do without the guarantee that they will help. Tow there (fee) diagnosis (fee) engine breakdown (fee) assistant = NONE!! The car passed the manufacturers warranty but the mile is TOO LOW to have these type of repairs especially at the cost.

This is robbery that everyday people are fighting to survive and have to worry about big corporations preying on us to make them a profit and hiding behind their faulty "warranties" that DO NOT protect the buyer but the company!!!!!!!!

We can't even be loyal to buy American because of the poor quality of the mechanics of the car and the morals of the people behind the corporations!!!!!!!!!!!
