The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. While driving 30 mph, the accelerator pedal traveled to the floorboard automatically without being depressed. The vehicle accelerated on its own. There were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle had to be placed in neutral for the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was taken to napleton's river oaks Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (17225 torrence ave, lansing, il 60438) where it was diagnosed that the accelerator pedal assembly failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened case number: [xxx]. the failure mileage was 145,000. The VIN was not available.
