The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving and making a turn at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to restart. The contact stated that the vehicle had to be completely stopped, shifted to park, depress the brake pedal, and then depress the Push-to-Start button to restart the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Family Toyota of Arlington, 1661 Wet N Wild Way, Arlington, TX 76011, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was concerned about driving the vehicle. The dealer referred the contact to the Chrysler. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where an unknown diagnosis and repair were completed, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 43, 000.

My car has been at the first dealership (Brewbaker Dodge, Montgomery, Ala.) on November 11, 2020. I got the car back March of 2021. The problem of misfires on cylinder 1 side, hesitation when proceeding from a red light, and stalling out. The problem continued so; I took it to another dealership (Stiver Dodge, Prattville, Ala.) in August 2021. I was given the car back in February 2022 stating to me that the problem may correct itself after being driven until after my birthday (March 2022). So, to this date my car is still at the Dealership and Chrysler Star Team has no clue what is wrong with this car. I'm still paying a car note, insurance, and renewing the license plate for this car every year and moth. Chrysler knows that there is an issue with the 3.6L Pentastar engine. No one wants to help me in this situation, but all parties involved wants my money but no real solution(s). I need someone that's going to advocate for me on my behalf. I just want Chrysler at this point to just put a new engine in the dang car and cover the charges at their expense for their defective engine. Chrysler seriously knows what's going. As long as my car has been at this Dealership For over a year, how could the engineers who designed this engine not know what's wrong with? This car has very low miles to be 8yrs old with major issue. And FCA doesn't want to admit to this engine (3.6L Pentastar) being a defective engine. Look at the class action lawsuits pertaining to this. Please Sir / Ma'am help me make sense of this. Thank you.

Car has approx. 42525 limes. Coming from trip, heard loud engine noise. Went to dealer, found pipe from catalytic to muffler burnt off. Discovered a kink in exhaust pipe that was there when manufactured and it caused stress on the bend from the muffler to the catalytic converter. Had to replace entire system from catalytic back. Not a cheap fix but only one that was available. Dealer did a star case # 101881957. But to dte unable to get any confirmation from Chrysler as having received this.

Driving the car under normal load, S tarted to notice a knock from the engine. Over the next few weeks it progressively got worse. Pulled plugs, checked oil. Gas, put a boroscope down the spark plug holes looking for engine damage. Finally had to have the car sent to the shop. When they got the motor torn down the bad lifter was discovered. Upon seeing that & doing some research there are quite a few posts on forums about the mds lifters on the 5.7 & 6.4 hemis going bad & destroying a cam. I have had oil analysis done on most oil changes through out owner ship but this wasn't picked up on from the last one. Not sure if it went out quick & destroyed the cam or if it had been happening for a while. Car only has around 75000 miles.

My 300 the engine light came on took to dealer to get looked at they changed oxygen sensor then about 2 weeks of owning the car my engine shut off while driving on freeway coast off to the shoulder to get out of traffic without being hit (scary) you have to come to complete stop put in park foot on brake restart push button took back where I bought the car family Toyota take it to don davis Chrysler so I did worked on it for three days they think they got it fixed a month later going into dallas it stalled out again it was rush to get to bi took back to dealer, don davis they had three days they did not know what was causing it they thought had it fixed so about 3 weeks later it happens again engine shuts off no warning so and pull off to shoulder couldn't miss time at work around Feb 15th 2018 it happened again was traveling about 60 miles an hour on interstate 30 and traffic truck on my tail and my car shut off imagined to escape getting hit been going on for months at least 9 to 10 times this has happened back to don davis for three days called me they did not know what was causing it and tried to sell me a different car, ,,because this was a death trap I said no I love my car fix it I refused to take it back three hours later dealership called me back and said we think we have it fixed come pick it upso I did only to discover it did it again and again and againi do nt feel safe having any family member in my car for fear of putting their lifein danger so just recently I took to auto nation to get air bag recall had them check it out they said they think it is catalytic converter but did not K its out of warranty and G cost me 3200 dollars I feel if I keep driving this car I am going become a statistic get killed, ,,crazy, ,,,,, happens when vehicle is in motion I will put the date of the been probably around Sept 10th 2017.

Engine cylinder #2 misfire, I work as a sedan driver for a limousine company and I'm experiencing problems with my 2014 Chrysler 300, took it to the repair shop because the check engine light was on, the diagnose was a misfire on cylinder #2, the shop replace spark plugs and coil packs, after resetting the check engine light the mechanic took the car for a road test and the engine light came back. After scanning the car again the same code came out for a misfire on cylinder #2. the tested fuel injectors and engine compression and everything was fine. I was told by the mechanic that the only fix is to replace the head cylinder. After talking to other drivers that own the same vehicle as mine, the told me that some of them are having the same problem, and 2 of them they did replace the cylinder head already. Due to the type of work we do we put a lot of miles on our vehicles, so far I 116,000 miles so I'm definitely not cover under warranty.

Driving the vehicle at about 50-55 and then car started shaking and check engine light started flashing pulled over and then the check engine light stayed on. I took it to the dealership the next day and I got a P0302 code. When I asked about the recall for that year make and model for the engine they told me that it does not affect that year even tho Chrysler recalled for that particular problem just not that year. Its the same issue from previous years

After shifter recall for park function installed: 4 days after install, while backing up from a parking space, car slammed into park violently, could not pull forward or backward without car slamming into park. Dealer could find no problem. 10 weeks later while slowing down at a four way stop intersection, car jerked. When I started into the intersection, screen on dash said transmission service needed, do not put car in N or P, or turn off car, continue to your...traction light and engine light came on. My car would not shift or move. People were swerving and hitting their brakes to avoid a collision with me. Trying to give car gas, and it going into park, finally got to curb. Called dealer, told to turn off car. It went to acc mode and shut off. Tow truck driver could not get car started, he used manual override to load car. Dealer did not diagnose car for 7 days, then said it was dead battery, could not find any problems. Picked up car, drove 37 miles, slowed down to merge onto a county highway, car jerked, and same message came up, same lights came on. Managed to pull off road. Turned off car. It stayed in run mode would not restart. Called dealer, had car towed. When car got to dealer, it started up, they drove it three blocks, said no problem, no code shown. Dealer says it is not the recall fix, I refused to pickup car, afraid to drive it. Told dealer take a 40 mile drive then around town. No word yet

The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. When the ignition was turned to the on position, the air bag and engine warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred each time the ignition was started. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine indicator sensor from the intake valve and the front driver side air bag impact sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The engine indicator sensor was replaced, but the air bag indicator sensor was not replaced. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16V240000 (power train). The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 46,000.
