After leaving the doctor's office and getting to my car, I started the car, pressed on the brake and attempted to put the car in reverse. I was in given the message to service the shifter on my dash. So I turn the car off turn the car back on and was met with the same message. At this point I got my instruction manual from my glove box and started to look for ways to bypass the automatic transmission shifter. After only finding a way to put it into neutral using the Manuel Park bypass I turn the car off again open the door, shut the door started the car and then the car went into reverse. I'm hoping that this was just a fluke electronical problem but I'm unsure at this point. I will make an appointment with my local dodge house to see if codes need to be run or if there's an update for this particular problem.
