I got this car in February, on the 15th test drove. Had a little clunk from 3rd to 2nd but thought 'meh there's a recall let's see after'. Fast forward about 3 months, After having it updated at the dealer for $202 plus tax, so $220, the car drove smoother, but I could still tell there was a clunk from 3rd to 2nd, then all of a sudden it dropped 7th gear out. I was like F##k oh well better than it was. The car is built strong except for the transmission. Welcome to American cars lesson #1- build terrible transmissions.
My last car was a 2013 Malibu LT and I got rid of that because it started becoming a money pit at 70-80K miles. Hope this car doesn't follow in the previous ones footsteps. Oh well back to the Japanese cars after this I think lol. I may lease an American car but will never buy one again lol

Low miles on my Chrysler 300 and shifting up and down from first to second gear shift really hard. Shifting up and down from seventh and eighth also really hard shift. Waiting for a recall so I can get the problem fixed.

At various times, when driving, the shifting is very hard. Sometimes, it's during upshifting, but more often happens during downshifting, ESPECIALLY from 8 to 7. A couple months ago, I took it to the dealer, and the valve body was replaced. If anything, the problem is even worse that ever. Before the 'repair', it was an occasional occurrence, not it's occurring very regularly. At other times, it acts like it doesn't want to shift, and the engine will rev very high before the transmission will shift.

I started out to work on a Friday morning & my car was shifting funny. I got to a stop sign & when I tried to go my car would not go anywhere. When I pushed on the gas it would not move. I tried shifting into park & it was very hard to shift. My engine light also can on. I finally turned my car off & back on and was able to drive it a few miles to my destination. It's shifting was off. Later in the day my husband took it to the dealer and it drove fine. From the codes they decided to replaced the transmission module.
The dealer was great and fixed my car right away for me. Then on Saturday I was headed to town & the exact same thing happened!! I was without a car for the weekend. On Monday we took it back to the dealer and this time was told all the valves needed replaced. Unfortunately the part to do that was on back order until the following Tuesday.
Well, today is Thursday so tomorrow will be two weeks since the problem started & I have been stuck with a dealer rental car. My husband just called the dealer to check on my car and was told they cannot get the part right now because they are so back ordered and they have to wait till one becomes available so I may have this rental car for another week or another month!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought my 300 On Sept 19 2015. Two days later after accelerating from a stop, vehicle sped up to 17 mph and lost power for a couple seconds. Minutes later i sped up 25mph and same instance happened. After keeping my foot on the accelerator car for around 6 seconds car jerked my head back like it was a SRT8 and took off LOL. Took vehicle to the dealership same day and after two days in the shop they applied a TSB update to the transmission to the vehicle and told me nothing was wrong with the car. Now two weeks later when i first turn on the vehicle in the morning and take off car jerks when shifting into 3rd gear. This problem seems to happen during cold starts. Annoyance disappears after about 15 minutes of driving.

Sometimes my transmission is smooth as silk and other times it doesn't seem to have a clue what it's doing. It will occasionally allow the engine to wind out before it shifts; one time my RPMs got 4000 before the transmission decided it felt like shifting. this usually happens on very slight inclines; it's as though the transmission shifts according to the physical angle of the car rather than according to engine speed or load.

Bought the 2015 Chrysler 300S with 5.7l V8 engine in June 18th, 2015. Noticing a very hard shifting when changing gears on S mode since I bought the car. One time it kicked so hard it almost knock my head back. Occurs during gear changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear.
Took the car to Chrysler dealership for them to check what's going on with the transmission. According to them nothing is wrong with the transmission everything seems to be normal, using their scan tool to check gear ratio and error codes, they couldn't find any error codes in the transmission. Anybody out there happen to have the same concern like what I described?
Aside from that, car looks sharp from the outside I couldn't stop staring at it.

Called Chrysler asking about servicing the transmission around 190,000 kms because theirs nothing listed for it in the Maintenance schedule- they said they don't need servicing. Then at 198,000 kms my TCC and Transmission need to be replaced. I've now heard of many people having issues with these 8 speed Transmissions... maybe Chrysler should have made them so they were service-able and not just wait until they grenade and need to be replaced!
