I took the car into the dealership for this issue and another. The other issue was the only thing written up on the invoice. I'm guessing to NOT have to address this HUGE, hideous problem; it's always someone else's problem. The service guy said it's an issue with 300's but it's NOT covered under warranty. Basically I'm stuck with warped door panels unless I pay for new ones out-of-pocket. Livid is an understatement and I'm not sure which direction to go with this issue, so I started here.

I really like this car, but it is extremely disappointing to have this issue. I take very good care of my car and this is something that should not be happening. The panels look terrible because they are warped and I am worried that they can interfere with the window or the door locks. I wish Chrysler would take more pride in their vehicles and fix this issue that is obviously a defect!

From what I understand, this is a very widespread problem with the Chrysler 300. There absolutely should be a recall on this, but I hear that Chrysler has refused to recall for this problem thus far.

Purchased 2017 Chrysler 300S for my mother during March 2020. On September 18, 2021, I noticed all doors interior paneling had warped up above door locks. Took vehicle to Chrysler dealer and they stated it is a common problem in Dodge & Chrysler vehicles but there is no recall or extended warranty to cover the problem. I noticed several complaints on line about the same problem and class action lawsuits starting up in different states. Chrysler dealer says it will be $1578 to fix and it will take 40 days for parts. I will provide an update with pictures and invoice after I have the work completed.

Update from Aug 17, 2023: I had Chryler in Eden, NC order all new interior door panels in September 2021 and the dealership did not receive the panels until August, 2023 (2 years later). They have installed the panels for a cost out of pocket of $964.22. I want to request reimbursement from Chrysler and would like to know how to do that?

This is a luxury sedan that looks like a bucket from the inside. Crysler should be ashamed.

No warranty on this common issue! Seems like if you pay $33,000 + they would have just a little respect for the amount of $$$ you spent with them and MAYBE realize that next time your $$$ will go to a competitor! And this company took the bailout $$$$$ too! I will REMEMBER this before, during, and after my next purchase. Maybe GM will get my money next time! Or Honda, Toyota, or Mazda!
