Door panels started coming off the doors on my 2017 Chrysler 300 in the summer of 2021, when I had not even had the car a full year. I am the 2nd owner of the car. I was told it would cost about $300 PER DOOR (NOT including labor or tax) as it was not covered under warranty and had not been recalled by Chrysler even though the company knows this is an issue because multiple vehicles have this issue and it's been happening for years. Plus, I was told they would fix it exactly like it was originally done!! How asinine is that?!!! This means I would pay over $1,200 to have 4 door panels installed in the same way as they were originally installed in the car and which had only lasted 4 YEARS!!! Which means after getting 4 new door panels installed, they would last maybe 4 years again and I would have to pay to have them fixed again!!!!! I told them no way I was going to pay for that and then have it fail in less than 5 years again. That is beyond ridiculous!!

Door panels should be recalled by Chrysler and fixed for free!!! Considering this car is called a luxury vehicle it should be fixed by Chrysler. I cannot believe this is an issue and that Chrysler is not fixing it. Had I known this was an issue I would have bought a different luxury vehicle. It is not just an aesthetic issue; it has impacted the lock button function because they are exposed. This car cannot even be sold for what I owe because of these door panels pulling apart (even though I take care of my car) which makes the car look cheap. I tried to attached pictures, but it did not work.

Door panels separating, car has been garaged 90% of time.

We have been buying Dodge/Ram/Chrysler vehicles for 30 years, never had this issue with any of our vehicles before, and this is the FIRST vehicle that has been basically garaged for its entire 6 years of ownership. Very disappointed after spending good money for a luxury car.
