When driving at highway speeds the RPM reads between 1400-1600, and as I come to small inclines the RPM will advance to 2000-2100 immediately. It does not slowly advance but is immediate. This does not occur all the time but periodically and the size of the incline makes no difference in the increase in RPM. Additionally, I have noticed a marked decrease in mpg. On trips I was getting a very good 30 mpg, now I am getting about 25-26 mpg. I am not sure what could be causing this problem but am open to any suggestions.
