problem #1

300C C 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission

Rear fuse box has multiple fuses making bad connection. Visible burned black marks on the fuses. Accessories spontaneously stop working. The amplifier fuse for the 552W Beats Audio system began to melt itself into the fuse box. It was the proper amp rated fuse.

Other malfunctioning circuits are... Backup camera, heated seats, heated steering wheel, cruise control and trunk lights. Chrysler dealer quoted me $3,000. Fuse box/wire harness. Rip out all of my interior. They couldn't guarantee the replacement part was improved and won't have the same issue. Also out of stock with no ETA. NOPE.

Opted to have Chrysler isolate the amplifier fuse from the box. Give it proper connections. Their mechanic had to take additional classes to carry this out due to it being an apparently odd request. 6 months in, my audio system has been working flawlessly without a single issue.

Currently trying to find a mechanic skilled and daring enough to rewire most of my rear fuse box.

Where's the recall on this? We already had a very similar problem with the front fuse box/TIPM.
