I got a 2001 Chrysler 300M from a dealer in Toledo. They were horrible and very uncooperative, but I ended up getting the car anyways. (Stupid me!) But two months after I got it, the car would just shut off! When I drive on the highway for a while then go to slow down to get off an exit or whatever, the car will just shut off! No noise, no lights, just locks up the steering wheel and shuts off! Ive had the cam and crankshaft sensor replaced, which did no good. I paid $100 to the dealership to put it on the computer just for them to tell me nothing is showing up and they dont know. I cant afford to keep putting money into this mystery problem. Can someone please HELP!!! =)

Mechanics cannot get computer code to indicate the problem. First guess was
electrical or fuel. Fuel eliminated. Shop guessed that the problem was crank/cam
sensor & replaced at cost of $535 incl. diagnostic time. Sensor did not fix it. Shop
testing to see if faulty replacement sensor. Whole day of diagnostics and shop has
no clue what is wrong.

Car shutdown unexpectedly on freeway doing ~60mph on off ramp. At night, so lights, radio, and heater where on at time. Coasted to side. Turned off, restarted. Sounded like no gas - choking itself. Revved engine, choking sound ended, was able to continue drive. Has not happened since. Very scary!
