AC compressor just wouldn't shift on. having three kids and summer heat reaching 115 degrees it was impossible to go anywhere without AC. had the compressor removed and tested, report was OK condition so had same compressor reinstalled. i changed out all relays, fuses, and electrical wiring to the compressor and it still refused to switch on. finally bought some extra wiring and ran a bypass cable from the compressor directly to the positive battery jump terminal and to the ignition coils fuse under the hood. AC works just fine now and compressor switches on as soon as the engine is started. in order to run the heat after the weather changes the bypass MUST be unhooked and grounded to prevent the compressor from being fried.
