When making a left turn consumer heard a "snap" noise. The steering wheel turned freely but the wheels would not turn. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop. The mechanic stated the problem was with the bushing behind the engine.

Outer tie rod replaced 02/01after noticing severe handling problem. Inner tie rod replaced 05/01 after noticing different, but equally sever handling problem. Mechanics said this is a common problem on this model as well as Dodge intrepid.D.
