The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The contact stated while driving at approximate speeds of 55 mph, the front drivers seat would recline backward without driver intent due to a bolt snapping. The contact received notification of a recall (NHTSA campaign id number: 03V035000: Seats: Front assembly: Recliner) and took the vehicle to the dealer for repairs. The dealer advised the recall repair was previously performed on the vehicle and the manufacturer would not cover the cost of a second repair. The failure persisted. When we purchased the car, we asked the salesperson (tim white) if the car was in good condition and if this was a rental car. He said" it had one owner." When I repeated this to the manager last week, he said it did. He stated that the owner was the rental company in Florida. Then I pointed out to the manager that one owner did not mean one driver. With it being a rental car it has had many drivers some not so careful as others.
