After replacing alternator, and battery, I thought it was all good and now it's back in the shop because the electrical is all screwed up (including computer components) because of the overcharging that occurred previously. It's been in shop now for over 3 weeks...

Car kept acting funny, Electrically. I could smell sulfur really bad, engine started overheating and then it just shut down on the freeway with all the lights on. The Alternator had basically BOILED my battery. So I had a "Mercedes" Mechanic replace Alternator, and then I had to replace battery also due to it boiling!
So far so good. Love this Car!

So annoying car came off the freeway and just died. Alternator shot. Had to be towed. Anyone else with this problem. 2004 - only 34,000 upset to have to replace it.
