I was driving home on the highway from work and my car suddenly shuts down tried to crank it, but nothing happens all the lights and radio comes on, but the engine doesn't start. Hasn't been cranking for over a little over two weeks now. This is very dangerous could have caused a wreck to harm me or other parties. This needs to be looked in further.

My car was on the highway and it shut down. No warning. No check engine light on prior to the car shutting down while driving 60 mph. When I attempted to turn it on all of the loaner lights would turn on. Including the air, radio, windows etc. I tried to get a jump and nothing happened. Called for a tow truck and as soon as it showed up it cranked up. This has happened again after turning off my car and trying to start it again but nothing happens. I've heard of this happening with Crossfires and it's unbelievable that there has not been a recall. Also there has been no recall regarding the ignition. Problems with turning the key if removed. The key has to remain in the ignition. I've had a friend who's Crossfire does that also as well as mine.

I was driving 70 mph on I81 when my 2010 Chrysler Crossfire simply stopped running. I was beside a truck with one in front and 3 behind. Barely made it to the side of the road and caused a lot of breaking and honking. The 5th time this has happened, and was extremely dangerous.... the Crossfire does not start after the engine stalls and the steering wheel locks up. I'm amazed that I made it out alive each time. Have spent $1800 trying to have it fixed but the Chrysler dealership doesn't know what the problem is. This is ridiculous

At 50 mph on a Maryland state highway, the engine unexpectedly shut off resulting in the vehicle coasting to a stop in the traffic lane (there was no shoulder). Fortunately, I was not struck by another vehicle, but it was dark and vehicles coming over a small hill and slight curve had to take evasive action to avoid a collision. The engine would crank and start briefly and then sputter to a stop. Or, it would just crank and not fire or not crank at all. I was eventually, with assistance, able to push the vehicle off the roadway into a residential driveway. I had the vehicle towed to my residence for further diagnosis. The vehicle would later start and run normally for a short period, but then was plagued by a large list of issues to include: Malfuncitoning indicator lights illuminated - brake light, brake wear indicator, traction control, stability control; P0600 data link loss code; vehicle not shifting out of park; speedometer not working, etc. Eventually, the engine would no longer crank at all. All issues were remedied by replacing the relay control module (rcm) - a part that was, and still is, manufactured by stribel. This part has know issues related to poorly soldered connections that cause no-start conditions or cause the vehicle to stall while operating. The rcm is also plagued by failure of the internal relays (engine control, fuel pump, traction control, secondary air pump) themselves which may be hastened by overheating as a result of the poor solder joints. If it has not already happened, someone is going to be seriously injured or killed when their Chrysler Crossfire (or any one of a number of Mercedes Benz vehicles utilizing the same stribel relay) stalls due to this widely know defect and is struck by another vehicle.

After driving 30 miles without problems engine stalls. Attempts to start it failed but when key is in on position not start position starter engages. Attempted several times and each time key turned on starter engaged even without clutch depressed which is normally required, even in gear with clutch released starter engaged. Have yet to get engine started tho condition continues. Towed car home to my shop where im investigating this issue.

The technician diagnosed that the ignition control module, the crank shaft sensor, and crank shaft wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 65,000 and the current mileage was 96,000.

While driving car at 30 mph just died steering locked up and no response. After sitting for about an hour and restarted. Happened again about 2 days later. Hooked up to diagnosis machine and it said it was the cam shaft possession sensor that was replaced. Car ran fine for about a week and the issue began again. Hooked it up and it said it was same part. Took part back got new one no response. Took car to dealer but machine read no problem. Changed crank shaft sensor after googling similar issues but issue still exists. We have spent several dollars on parts that do not resolve the issue. I am just thankful for the first time it happened to have not been on the highway and just on a side street close to home. We have not been able to drive the car because U never know when it may stall out and if or when it will restart. After goggling many others are having same issue and I don't know how this could possibly be safe more how no one can resolve or fix the issue. So basically paid $10,000 for a nice yard ornamnet at this time. Very frustrated and wishing Chrysler would step up. Owning 3 Dodge/Chrysler vehicles at this time is to the point where I would never own another if this issue is not resolved soon!
